Marvel Studios debuted the first trailer for the second season of Disney+'s Loki yesterday, and while the teaser was fairly light on major reveals, it did contain a few moments that have prompted a lot of discussion online.
Arguably the most talked-about shot was a brief glimpse of a line of people queuing for the premiere of a movie titled Zaniac!
This supervillain was introduced in the pages of Thor back in the '80s as a demonic entity sent to Earth by Dormammu. Zaniac originally possessed a man named Tom Malverne, who would go on to become Marvel's take on Jack the Ripper, Later, he took control of an actor named Brad Wolfe, who gained super-strength and the ability to conjure knives out of raw energy.
Wolfe's name was previously spotted on a movie poster in some leaked set photos, so there were already theories that the character could play a part in season 2's story. Blindspotting star Rafael Casal is the only new season 2 cast member whose role has not been disclosed, which has led to speculation that he will be playing Wolfe, aka Zaniac.
