Krysten Ritter To Play JESSICA JONES; Mike Colter Looks Set For LUKE CAGE
Marvel haven't issued a press release just yet, but the trades are reporting that Breaking Bad actress Krysten Ritter has been chosen to play Jessica Jones in the upcoming Netflix series. It also sounds like they've found their Luke Cage in the form of Mile Colter. Read on for details!
Deadline reports that Krysten Ritter has been cast as Jessica Jones in the Netflix series which will follow Daredevil, but whether that's this year or next remains to be seen. She's best known for a memorable role in Breaking Bad, and gained quite the following after starring in the short lived - but well-loved - Don't Trust The B- comedy series on ABC. According to the site, her series focuses on Jessica Jones (obviosly), a superhero suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, which leads to her hanging up her costume and opening her own detective agency, where she ends up helping people and assisting other superheroes. The site also reveals that the five actresses being eyed for Jessica Jones all tested with The Following's Mike Colter, who it now appears will play Luke Cage.
