Almost a year ago, Reddit user "Defenders_Throwaway" posted a
thread in which he provided a detailed account for the plot of Marvel's Defenders and Marvel's Punisher. At the time, these leaks were as trustworthy as your every day 4Chan leak, however, returning to his comments post Defenders/Punisher reveals a high degree of accuracy in all his posts - that of which you can
look through and validate yourself.
"Luke Cage 2 has some of the best fight choreography since DD season 1. This seasons villain, Bushmaster, does an interesting mix of regular kickboxing mixed with some flashy capoeira moves."
Judging by this, it looks like those of you expecing to see the Serpent Society member battle the hero for hire by twirling around him and squeezing him might be a bit disappointed. With that said, the redditor goes on to provide some exciting details regarding Luke Cage's team up with his fellow hero for hire, Danny Rand (Finn Jones):
"There is a great teamup Episode with Danny in Luke Cage 2 though... they even manage to rehabilitate Danny. He is way more relaxed and fun and not a whiny asshole in this show."
That's not the only praise given to the upcoming season of Luke Cage - previously labeling
Marvel's Punisher as Marvel Netflix's crowned jewel, Redditor 'Defenders_throwaway' goes to pass the crown along to Luke Cage Season 2 while providing some interesting information on where Lukes character is headed:
"Luke Cage season 2 is my new favorite out of all the shows. They do Mariahs character arc perfectly and they change focus between her and the new villain so it stays interesting the whole season. Luke also gets an interesting arc, being tempted by power and angry about the fruitlessness of fighting crime. its great."
So here it is!
Marvel's Luke Cage Season 2 looks like it'll end up blowing most peoples expectations out of the water - especially those who left the first season feeling a bit sour towards the end.
Luke Cage returns for it's second season on June 22.
