One week from tomorrow, Moon Knight will arrive on Disney+. Now, Marvel Studios has released a full gallery of images from the show, many of which are brand new (some have previously been shared through publications like Empire and USA Today, albeit with annoying watermarks).
Seeing more of Mr. Knight is definitely welcomed, especially as there's a lot of intrigue surrounding what that specific costumed identity will add to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Elsewhere, we get a cool shot of May Calamawy's Layla and see more of Ethan Hawke's mysterious villain, Arthur Harrow. He has such an obscure comic book history, it appears Marvel Studios will completely reinvent the character for this show (what that means for the MCU remains to be seen). If yesterday's clip was any indication, though, Harrow is going to unleash some serious power.
The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy. Mohamed Diab and the team of Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead directed the episodes (those George Clooney rumours were incorrect). Jeremy Slater is the head writer, and Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Mohamed Diab, Jeremy Slater and Oscar Isaac are the executive producers.
Moon Knight premieres on Disney+ on March 30.
