MOON KNIGHT May Have Just Introduced [SPOILER], Which Could Be A Game-Changer For The MCU

Today's episode of Moon Knight delivered its fair share of big moments and surprises, but it appears a character has been introduced who could be a game-changer for both this series and the wider MCU...

There was lots to unpack in today's episode of Moon Knight, "The Friendly Type," but the biggest reveal might have passed you by. While we pick up immediately with Marc Spector in Egypt, a fight with some local thugs sees Steven Grant wrest back control of his body after pleading with Marc to stop beating them.

He tries heading to the airport before Marc takes control again, but the former mercenary then blacks out and wakes up to find himself stabbing someone.

Marc blames Steven for that violent outburst, but he denies having any sort of involvement. The clear insinuation here is that there's a third personality, and if you're a fan of the comic books, you'll know that's almost certainly Jake Lockley. He's the most violent of Marc's three personas, so it makes sense that he's occasionally taking control and dealing out some lethal justice.

The fact that he's a cabbie on the page is irrelevant, as Steven is a film producer in the comics and not an English gift shop employee! Marvel Studios has taken liberties with the source material in terms of how Marc's other sides have been portrayed, and something tells us we haven't "seen" the last of Jake and the brutality that's associated with this hero's dissociative identity disorder.

There's always a chance Khonshu is controlling Marc's body, but while we have seen the Moon God attempt to take control of his avatar in the comics, Jake seems far more likely. We've seen Moon Knight (Marc) and Mr. Knight (Steven), but could Jake be the violent Batman-like vigilante who cut Bushman's face off? If so, the rest of the MCU's heroes might need to watch their backs.

Check back here later today for our in-depth breakdown of Moon Knight's latest episode.

@Steel86 - the headline says game changer, but the article doesn't articulate how. Are we supposed to read between the lines or take the authors word for it.

Man, common citizens of the MCU must be really scared at looking at the sky. There's always some bullshit happening up there lol

Seeing the gods communicate was damn good

Also, in Disney World right now and it’s sucks that Disney Land gets all the avengers shit. Heard Moon Knight turned up there. No MK merch here yet it seems either

when the third personality finally shows up

great episode, heavy on the Egypt side and also the violence. I love the Moon Knight character, he's the kind of bite the MCU has needed for a while, he just lets loose in front of a bunch of motherf*ckers and the bodies start piling up.

also, this show has a banger after another
