With Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness now playing in theaters and breaking box office records, Marvel Studios has started turning its attention to Ms. Marvel. Believe it or not, the show is now only one month away, and we're hoping a new trailer for the show is on the horizon.
After all, as great as this latest TV spot is (we get to see more of Kamala Khan's Green Lantern-style powers and Red Dagger in action), to many people, Ms. Marvel is a complete unknown.
This means Marvel Studios will have to work extra hard to sell them on the Disney+ series, but something tells us the hero's story will be one well worth checking out. After all, there are big plans in place for young Kamala, including a lead role in Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels. There, the Avengers fangirl will get the opportunity to team up with both her idol and Monica Rambeau, a.k.a. Spectrum.
Take a look at this new Ms. Marvel TV spot below:
"Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?"
We recently learned that joining Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel are Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha. Bisha K. Ali is the show's Head Writer, while episodes were directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
Ms. Marvel premieres on Disney+ on June 8.
