Ms. Marvel is still shooting in Atlanta, Georgia, and while it's been a while since we've seen anything from the Disney+ series, excitement among fans is definitely building. Now, it's been revealed that Orange is the New Black star Alysia Reiner has quietly been added to the show's cast.
We don't know who she's playing, but the news broke courtesy of Ms. Marvel star Laith Nakli on Instagram.
"And that’s a wrap for Ms. Marvel what an experience," he says. "Just when I thought it couldn’t get better it did when Alysia Reiner joined the cast. 16 years of friendship and working together. Thank you Sana Amanat and bad ass directors Bilall Fallah, Adil El Arbi, Meera Menon, and the incredible cast! Can’t wait for the world to see this show."
It's been claimed online that Nakli plays Sheikh Abdullah in the series, and it will be interesting to see what Reiner brings to the table, as she's definitely a talent worth keeping an eye on.
In other Ms. Marvel news, a set video has been shared online (which it seems we all missed last November when the series was shooting in full view of the paparazzi) showing Iman Vellani in full costume as...Captain Marvel? This is a Halloween costume, but might be what the young hero initially heads into action wearing when the teenager discovers that she has superpowers.
