Ms. Marvel is fast approaching, and following those glowing social media reactions, we now have some new images from the show. Taking us to Kamala Khan's corner of the MCU in New Jersey, they tease this hero's formative years before she steps up and joins the ranks of Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
While the first couple of shots may be familiar, we get to see Kamala in her homemade Captain Marvel costume, an intriguing shot of her seemingly having a vision of some sort, and the teenager in school alongside her friends.
Only two episodes of Ms. Marvel were provided to critics in advance (compared to the four sent out for Moon Knight), but with such an overwhelmingly positive response, it feels like we're in store for something special. After debuting in this Disney+ series, the hero will make the leap to The Marvels to take centre stage alongside Captain Marvel and Spectrum.
Check out these newly released Ms. Marvel stills below:
"Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels like she doesn’t fit in at school and sometimes even at home—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?"
Joining Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel in the show are Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha. Bisha K. Ali is the show's Head Writer, while episodes were directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
Ms. Marvel will premiere on Disney+ on June 8.
