The Hollywood Reporter has learned that relative newcomer Laurel Marsden (Survive) has joined the cast of Marvel Studios' Ms. Marvel as the Marvel Comics character Zoe Zimmer, a classmate and occasional friend/bully of Kamala Khan's (Iman Vellani).
Further details are being kept under wraps, but production is currently underway in Atlanta, so it's likely that she's now on set and quite possible that she's already filmed some scenes opposite Vellani.
Bisha K. Ali is the head writer on the series, with the duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (Bad Boys for Life; Black), 2x Academy Award-winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy (A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness; Saving Face), and Meera Menon (The Walking Dead; The Punisher) all directing different installments.
Marsden is the latest addition to the cast, joining headliner Iman Vellani as the titular heroine, Aramis Knight as Kareem/Red Dagger, Saagar Shaikh as Amir Khan, Rish Shah as Kamran, Zenobia Shroff as Muneeba Khan, Mohan Kapoor as Yusuf Khan, Matt Lintz as Bruno Carrelli, Yasmeen Fletcher as Nakia Bahadir, Laith Nakli as Sheikh Abdullah, Azhar Usman in an undisclosed role, Travina Springer as Tyesha Hillman, Nimra Bucha in an undisclosed role, and Randy Havens in an undisclosed recurring role.
Ms. Marvel is scheduled to arrive exclusively on Disney+ in Late 2021.
