She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has had its fair share of controversy since the series launched on Disney+ last month. However, something tells us that it's not going to settle down anytime soon with today's episode, "Just Jen," and the introduction of "Intelligencia", a website similar to Reddit, but much worse.
On the site, frustrated users discuss killing She-Hulk, sharing their hate for the "sl*t" lawyer, and even pondering how best to "SWAT" Jennifer Walters.
A moderator, "HulkKing," appears to be pulling the strings and is shown messaging scientists at the end of the episode who have discovered a way to finally pierce She-Hulk's skin and steal her blood.
Why this person despises Jen enough to foster this sort of online hate is hard to say, but it's most likely tied to the comic book history of the Intelligencia. A group formed to exchange information between the world's greatest criminal geniuses, they eventually disbanded but were later reformed by The Leader and M.O.D.O.K.
In the comics, they convince General Ross to become Red Hulk and then brainwash and transform many of Bruce Banner's closest allies into Hulks. This included Red She-Hulk, A-Bomb, and Amadeus Cho.
With that brief history out of the way, you can probably start piecing together how this could factor into Marvel Studios' future MCU plans and the rumoured World War Hulk project.
If we assume Captain America: New World Order villain The Leader is behind this group and simply manipulating these online losers to get what he needs from She-Hulk, then it's a genius plan. Once he gets her blood, the villain can start creating Hulks, leading to Bruce and Jen being pitted against some truly formidable foes down the line.
