So yeah, that wasn't actually Ghost Rider at all!
Last month, a behind-the-scenes featurette for She-Hulk: Attorney At Law appeared to include a very interesting Ghost Rider Easter Egg when a blurry poster seemingly depicting the original Spirit of Vengeance, Johnny Blaze, was spotted in the background.
This led to inevitable speculation that Blaze might appear, and while most of us didn't jump to that conclusion based on this one shot, there was no denying that it did seem like a very deliberate reference to the character.
Now, She-Hulk writer/showrunner Jessica Gao has cleared up the confusion.
"He's not Ghost Rider — his name is Donny Blaze," she told Deadline at last night's red carpet event. "He is a magician named Donny Blaze. This is just a magician who picked a stage name that he thought was going to get a lot of attention. He's a big character in his episode but he is not Ghost Rider."
Mr. Blaze appears in the fourth episode, and while we won't give any major details away, let's just say he makes quite an impression!
The social media embargo for She-Hulk lifted late last night, and you can check out the first reactions to Marvel Studios' latest Disney+ series here.
