AVENGERS: ENDGAME Star Paul Rudd Shares High Praise For Kathryn Hahn's WANDAVISION Performance

Kathryn Hahn has been one of Hollywood's most underrated stars for a long time, but her work as Agnes/Agatha Harkness in WandaVision cemented her as an internet darling and a global treasure.

We were definitely impressed by her work in the Disney+ series, and so was Avengers: Endgame and Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania star Paul Rudd. In a recent profile on Hahn for Vanity Fair, the actor opened up on his Marvel Cinematic Universe co-star's incredible work in WandaVision.

"Kathryn is often not only the best person for the part, but also the best person on the set. Her personality is so joyous. With no attitude," Rudd exclaimed. "Kathryn goes for it in everything."

Rudd says he watched all of WandaVision, and admitted that he's been thinking about her work in the show ever since. "I mean, my God, who else could do what she did? She does that crazy witch cackle, and you buy it," Rudd added. "You know how hard it is to do a crazy witch cackle?"

The series ended with Agatha trapped in Westview as "Agnes," though the door was definitely left open to some sort of return down the line that would mean Wanda could free her (something tells us that could be the case when the Scarlet Witch decides to track down Tommy and Billy in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness).

Directed by Sam Raimi, that movie is set to be released in theaters on March 25, 2022.

I can agree with that. Agatha herself wasn't all that special, but it was definitely Hahn's performance that made Agatha a joy on screen.

Kathryn Hahn really took a mid part and made it exceptional due to her performance. Hopefully we get more with her. Less main villain and more of a duplicitous reluctant ally

@Dredd97 - "Hopefully we get more with her. Less main villain and more of a duplicitous reluctant ally" - as in, a bit like Loki? I'd be up for that, as long as they can avoid repeating the same Thor-Loki beats and this looking like just a rehash. But there's definitely scope for Kathryn Hahn's Agatha to become multi-dimensional (no, that quantum-style Dr Strange-style multi-dimensional) instead of the old one-note villain.

@Dredd97 - If she can only get free of Wanda's pesky spell! Definitely agree, would love to see more of her character.

It could be fun if they have her as the next big CEO of a Tupperware company. Where you couldn't tell if she is still under Wanda's spell as 'suburban nosey neighbor' or if she was free of the spell but in deep cover, using magic and wit to get success. Tease it in other shows where she's on a magazine or being interviewed by national news (same news from falcon and winter soldier) for climbing up the fortune 100 companies list or something lol

Just a reminder that of the four most powerful magicians in the MCU only one survived Thanos.

She called him a child and put him in his place previously. But that was decades ago.
