It's been a very busy week for news here on ComicBookMovie.com, and now politics are no longer dominating the headlines (at least not as quite as much as they were a couple of weeks ago), we've seen a lot of big movie and TV show updates shared by Marvel, DC Entertainment, and more.
So, regardless of whether you've been glued to CBM all week or have fallen behind on what's been happening in the world of pop culture, we have you covered with this recap of the biggest stories.
In this recap, we have a major WandaVision update, plenty of new intel about Zack Snyder's Justice League, more Eternals promo art, some huge Thor: Love and Thunder casting news, and more.
To take a look through these stories, all you guys need to do is hit the "Next" button down below.
It feels like Hailee Steinfeld's rumoured involvement with Hawkeye has been a never ending saga, but the signs are once again pointing to the Bumblebee star joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Two of the show's directors, Bert and Bertie (creative partners Amber Finlayson and Katie Ellwood) have followed both Steinfeld and Jeremy Renner on Instagram, a possible coincidence, but also once which means we can't help but think that this is semi-confirmation we'll see Steinfeld as Kate Bishop.

Ben Affleck's Batman has been operating in Gotham City for decades, and that surely means it's inevitable that the hero has crossed paths with Catwoman. Recently, Justice League director Zack Snyder shared his thoughts on that, and confirmed that he would cast Carla Gugino as Selina Kyle.
"Probably I would say Carla's Catwoman [is perfect]. You would have to say, there's a flashback to ten years ago, where they were a thing," the filmmaker pondered earlier this week. "And then he had to arrest her, I don't know what happened, or he had to let her go, and it tweaked him."
You can hear more about what he thinks Catwoman would be up to now right HERE.
Recently, a page was shared from The Star Wars Archives: Episodes I-III 1999-2005, and in that, it's revealed George Lucas considered having Maul serve as a lead villain in his sequels, with Darth Talon taking on a Darth Vader-type role. Luke Skywalker was going to focus on rebuilding the Jedi Order, while Leia Organa was set to eventually become Supreme Chancellor.
It makes for interesting reading, and while there's nothing to say this would have been better than what ended up in The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker, it's intriguing.

Last week, we told you about Johnny Depp being fired from the Fantastic Beasts franchise, and it's since been revealed that despite shooting only one scene, he's still be paid in full.
It was clever of him to make sure to have that written into his contract, but Warner Bros. is wasting no time finding a new Gellert Grindelwald, with Doctor Strange and Rogue One star Mads Mikkelsen in early talks to take over the role as the lead villain in the Harry Potter prequel series of movies.

The movie has been delayed, but more artwork from Eternals found its way online this week, which showcases the colourful costumes each member of the superhero team will don in the 2021 release.
In it, we see Kingo, Sprite, Gilgamesh, Thena, Ikaris, Sersi, Phastos, Makkari, Druig, and Ajak.
These designs are seriously cool, and should definitely help the characters stand out from the Avengers (not to mention the Fantastic Four and X-Men once they arrive in the Marvel Cinematic Universe). Now, we just need to see this lot in live-action because that will make or break these impressive costumes.

As you read this, Wonder Woman 1984 is set to be released in theaters on Christmas Day. However, it's believed Warner Bros. is in the process of making a decision about what to do with Patty Jenkins' DC Comics sequel, and it seems there are a couple of options currently on the table.
A debut on HBO Max shortly after the movie arrives in theaters is one option, as is a delay to next summer. It's ultimately going to boil down to whether Warner Bros. decides to hold off and try and make as much money as possible or see how beneficial a streaming debut is to subscriber moments.

We've known for a few weeks now that Jared Leto is taking part in reshoots for Zack Snyder's Justice League, but it's beginning to sound like rather than getting a flashback to the night he murdered Robin, we're instead going to catch up with the Clown Prince of Crime in that "Knightmare" future.
"I'm not going to tell you what happens in the little scene, but some water has gone under the proverbial bridge between when last we saw Joker and this appearance," Zack Snyder teased in a recent interview. "So he's made some...he's a road-weary Joker, I guess that's a way of saying it."

There's been a lot of speculation about what Marvel Studios will do about Black Panther 2 following the tragic death of actor Chadwick Boseman, with one popular theory being that the actor will be recreated with a digital double (presumably to kill the character off in the opening few minutes).
Well, it's not happening.
"There's only one Chadwick, and he's not with us," revealed Executive Vice President of Marvel Studios, Victoria Alsonso. "Our king, unfortunately, has died in real life, not just in fiction, and we are taking a little time to see how we return to the story and what we do to honor this chapter of what has happened to us that was so unexpected, so painful, so terrible, really."

There have been rumblings that WandaVision wouldn't arrive on the platform until early next year, and it appears those were correct because a premiere date of January 15th, 2021 has now been confirmed This ensures the show won't clash with The Mandalorian or Soul, of course, but there's no way this news won't disappoint fans hoping for at least one MCU fix this year.
The original plan was for Black Widow and Eternals to be released in theaters this year, with The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and WandaVision hitting Disney+ in August and November. Unfortunately, we're now getting zero new MCU content in 2020, the first time that's been the case in a decade.

The original plan was for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 was that it would be released this year, but James Gunn's commitments to The Suicide Squad (and Peacemaker) has seen the Phase 4 calendar shift somewhat. Now, Thor: Love and Thunder is coming first, and we're getting an "Asgardians of the Galaxy" reunion with the addition of Chris Pratt as Star-Lord to the cast.
There's no word on whether other cast members will join him, but it seems likely the God of Thunder will bid farewell to his fellow Guardians of the Galaxy as he embarks on his next solo adventure.
