WANDAVISION: First Clip From The Disney+ Series Sees Something Go Bump In The Night

Elizabeth Olsen was a guest on last night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, and the Scarlet Witch actress brought a clip from WandaVision with her! This sneak peek embraces classic sitcoms in a big way...

The first clip from WandaVision has been released, and if you were wondering what the Marvel Cinematic Universe's version of a sitcom looks like, then this definitely helps clear things up.

Taking place in that black and white 1950s setting, we find Wanda and The Vision in bed, with the former using her powers to try and grab the attention of her husband after a strange noise disturbs her. There's canned laughter, a classic sitcom soundtrack, and goofy visuals which prove that Marvel Studios is embracing this concept in a big way.

Elizabeth Olsen talks more about the series in this excerpt from her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Paul Bettany is expected to be a guest later this week.

Chances are he'll bring another clip with him, so stay tuned to CBM to see if it drops.

WandaVision is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision - two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives - begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. The series is directed by Matt Shakman, with Jac Schaeffer as head writer. Running for nine episodes, the show premieres on January 15th, 2021.

The clip from WandaVision begins at the 4:24 mark in the player below:

This is shaping up to be one of the most unique things the MCU has done by far

@MarvelousMarty -

People said wanted something different from Marvel and the Disney+ shows are the best bet for them to get it.

Hope they appreciate the risks this show is going to be taking with this unique approach. I know I will do that at the very least.

Excited to see each episode peel back the layers on Wanda's reality. Unless the episodes are gonna show what's going on both inside and outside with Jimmy Woo at the same time. I wouldn't mind either.

They were smart to get Matt Shakman to direct this. Extremely talented and diverse television director. I’m sure he’ll add a lot of Easter eggs too since he’s added a lot of background gags to keep with continuity in his previous shows

After seeing one clip, the WHOLE series looks like it as a whole now? Logical. /s

Marvel has legitimately found a way to max out my hype meter, adjust the max capacity of my hype meter, then further max it.

Multiple times.

Holy [frick]... thats amazing. I really think the more they embrace the sitcom cheese, the more this show will work out when it’s revealed to be a conceptual reality created from Wanda, after being an avid fan of sitcom shows.

The absolute horror vibe that will translate between her fake reality and the real reality, watching on in terror as she becomes more lost and engrossed in her reality will be something brilliant to watch unfold.

And I’m willing to bet the “knocking” sound in the middle of the night, will be one of many cues of real reality trying to break through into her reality.

Aw she’s so nice. I’m pumped for this show. Disney+ needs this new content. Always loved her as Scarlet Witch. That was great casting, she’s only gotten stronger in the role, very cool to see over the years. Marvel found a way to make me excited to watch an imaginary sitcom starring Scarlet Witch and Vision.
