WANDAVISION: The Avengers Get A Nod In Latest TV Spot For Marvel's First Disney+ TV Series

We have another new TV spot for WandaVision, and this one makes direct reference to Earth's Mightiest Heroes, reminding us that the Disney+ series is set firmly within the Marvel Cinematic Universe...

It's unclear whether we're getting another trailer for WandaVision between now and January 15th, but a new TV spot has been released today which features more previously unseen footage.

The fact that it comes with a mention of The Avengers is an unexpected bonus, as we see Kathryn Hahn's Agnes name-drop Earth's Mightiest Heroes when she turns to The Vision and says, "You're the Avengers." Once again, it's looking like neither Wanda nor The Vision remember their past lives.

Is that because the Scarlet Witch has used her powers to make them forget, or because there's a more sinister force (Mephisto, perhaps?) pulling her strings and manipulating these events?

In WandaVision, Wanda Maximoff and Vision are two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives, but begin to suspect everything is not as it seems. Starring Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Kathryn Hahn, Teyonah Parris, Kat Dennings and Randall Park, WandaVision is directed by Matt Shakman; Jac Shaeffer (Black Widow) is head writer.

Check out this awesome new TV spot for WandaVision in the player below. Some character posters were also released yesterday, and they can be found by clicking here

Blink and you'll miss it, but there are actually two Avengers in the show.

The sitcom angle will bore people by the third episode if it goes on for that long. Will people really stick around for weeks to watch that? It would be different if all of the episodes were released at once

@Ocelot - But the sitcom scenarios are intertwined with the mystery (and the catch0 of the show.

The viewers will question: “why on Earth are we seeing bits and pieces of this show as retro sitcoms? Something clearly is amiss.” And THAT is the reason for the show itself. Why exactly are we seeing these characters in this way? Its all quite clever and unique. I have total faith it will pay off in a weird and exciting way....that will point to some crazy adventures for the MCU as a whole going forward.

@Ocelot - "The sitcom angle will bore people by the third episode if it goes on for that long.." Speak for yourself, it's a huge settling point for me.

@Ocelot - completely agree. Sitcom angle is a fascinating entry point but hopefully we quickly move on to more intriguing character details. It’s like the third time Yoda ate the frog lady’s egg, I was still like “Noooooo” and at once maybe still could see the humor, but the fourth time I just rolled my eyes and was totally pulled out of the story or worse.

@parkerray - I think you people need to brace yourselves. I really believe they'll have full-on sitcom episodes each week (each week being a new era). And I mean a wacky sitcom plot around the couple with its own little stakes and hints of weirdness that will unravel as we go along and end in a climatic superbattle.

@Kingdork - well you’re right maybe I should brace myself but I’ll likely still enjoy it, just that my preference would be to not have the same bell clanged five or six times and then have to wait another year or years for the story to progress.

@Ocelot - no it won’t. Especially when each episode has a radically different aesthetic and there are major developments with each jump (eg Wanda going from pregnant in the 70s to having kids in the 80s)

My most anticipated Marvel show with my favorite MCU relationship. Only others that come close for me in terms of intrigue and just raw emotion are Cap/Peggy and Cap/Bucky. I stopped watching trailers after the first one to go in fresh.

With less than a month until this drops I don't even need another trailer at this point. Can't wait!
