Prison Break Bad Guy Joins Heroes Cast

Theodore Bagwell, an antagonist of Prison Break, joins the failing Heroes TV series. Will his addition make it any better?

Robert Knepper, who played Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell on Fox's "Prison Break," has been tapped as the new lead villain on NBC's "Heroes" next season, says The Hollywood Reporter.

In at least six episodes of the series' fourth season, Knepper will play Samuel, a Jim Jones type -- charismatic but evil, with a twisted sense of humor -- who will veer into the lives of all heroes.

The character had been referred to as "Carnival Barker" in the series breakdown released last month. Filming for "Heroes" will start again later this week.

Heroes has well and truly threw the S. That last season finale was one of the most retarded things i have ever seen on tv. There are still decent episodes every now and them but i think its time to make the next season the last. Something Smallville should have done about 4 years ago!

Wow I also didn't know that the show was still on and going to have another season. So Ror what was the finale about anyway?

I love heroes so this is great news for me. Yes heroes has gotten lame and came back and dropped off but what eh heck i still love the show.

Its true taking Peters and Hiro's powers was a bad move... pobably cuz they couldnt figure interesting plots with them to be leaders and it probably saves in special effects costs too.

Heroes is a great show. I am glad it is still on. It isn't doing that bad if it is still on the air.

Yeah I wasn't too happy when they took Peter's powers away. I didn't know they did that to Hiro as well. That sucks! Well hopefully the will regain their abilities because they were both my favorites from the series. I really need to catch up on this show though.

I've seen the shows finale. Hiro got his powers back and some how (not explained) Peter got his back as well. The finale was twisted. I can say for one thing to those who haven't seen the show that Sylar will not be back.

Well at least Hiro and Peter got their powers back. Too bad about Sylar.

I watched the first 2 seasons of Prision Break, and T-Bag was an amazing character. I still think his best role was Tommy Dolan on Carnivale. That show was so deep with talent and awesome performances, I still have blue balls 4 years after it was cancelled. HBO, that box of dogshit was from me.

Ive only ever seen one episode of heroes (the season 1 finale) which i thought was crap, but hearing that the awesome robert knepper who played the even more awesome t-bag in the most awesome tv show ever prison break might just convince me to start watching!!!

@superfly Peter got his powers by touching Sylar in final showdown (which we never saw)

Sylar never died, he was morphed into Nathan and brainwashed to believe thats who he is, and now Nathan (Sylar) has an intrest in watches. Do you guys even watch the show? Nathan is the one who is dead.

OMG. Heroes is awesome! My favorite show next to True Blood and Supernatural. Far better than Smallville is now. Sylar is the hottest person on that show.

@Shibazz I am liking you more and more. ;) I totally agree with you on the Peter and Hiro thing. That was a bad move. But another bad move was they kept pulling Sylar in different directions. He's a good guy, he's evil and wants to kill his father for killing his mom, he wants to become president to rule.... something.... lol.

Peter and Hiro did not get their powers back. Peter got the ability to absorb and retain a single power at a time at the end of the last chapter, from Suresh's serum; Matt Parkman Jr. has the power to "supercharge" things, he did this to Hiro and he temporarily got the power to stop time back, but he overused it and ended up hurting himself.

The writers took Peter and Hiro's powers away because they were too powerful. How do you write believable, and fundable, stories for characters who can do anything? With Peter and Hiro at full power there is no way to challenge the heroes, Peter would either absorb the antagonist's power and thus be stronger than him, or Hiro would just go back in time and fix everything.

But now I wanna check it out! lol :)

@ Anil Rickly -- Vulture, [frick] yeah!
T-bag on heroes, might do well. I recently saw him in Species, not playing a perv, and he was quite convincing. So let's give it a try. Hope it saves the show, cause it is getting lame.
Well not lame, but they made some very [frick]ing bad moves!

Sorry but Heroes stopped being great after season 1..then it started being awful! Its back to being just mediocre now. Its just so silly. They lose their powers..they get diffrerent powers..they get half their powers..they get their powers back..their evil, their good, their ambiguous! ARGGGGGGG. And people accuse the writers of Lost of making it up as they go along? They also have no balls. They wont just kill off a character clean without keeping the actor around. Nikki has a twin sister didnt you know! Nathan is dead but we cant lose Adrian Pasadar so wel just make him Sylar! Arse.

I like the addition. This guy is a good actor and I can definitely see him playing a Jim Jones type of character.

I like the angle of Sylar being Nathan Pitrelli. To me, Sylar is a bad guy because he can't help it, not by choice, so the dual personality thing on this season would be good. What if the whole thing didn't work and Sylar is just playing everybody all along??? And if they hadn't lost their powers, if that angle had never been brought, then what would stop them from just going out full on war X-Men Style? IF that was the idea that the writers wanted from the beginning, then it is wise to take their powers away now and prolong it, because something like that should be kept for an ending. If you're going to make a tv series about people with superpowers battling each other, then call it X-Men, not Heroes. This is more about the human side of the characters, in my opinion. Then again, what do I know?

I don't know, I guess I don't have as high expectections out of my tv shows as a lot of people here do. As long as I can be entertained for an hour and there's some storyline, It's ok in my book. I like seeing characters being re-used or brought back.

Being a Heroes, and to be more exact, Sylar fan, I think that Season 4 should be a pickup. With Jeph Loeb out, it SHOULD be more stable...

Agreed Anil. I LOVE Supernatural. And this season's finale was spectacular and I am so psyched for next season. But Smallville. They already did Zod it it bunked. I'm not watching Smallville anymore because all it is now is dissappointment. To me Lex was the best part of the show. Heroes is awesome. All I'm going to say about that so everyone can kiss my arse if they don't like it ^_^

An offer like that will bombard the thread with countless comments about kissing you on the buttocks.

Carnivale is worth the squeeze. It's creepy and mysterious and fantastic. The only bummer is it ends on a cliff hanger and never comes back. So you get no closure (hence the blue balls), but she's still a helluva lay! ^_^

Supernatural is way, way better than Smallville! Supernatural has developed a story and advanced the characters over the past 4 seasons...Smallville's characters havent advanced any more than season 1 apart from their jobs-look at clark, hes still the same sulky pansy that hes always been!!!

Oh and for anyone interested jensen and jared recently said that they are signed on to Supernatural for 6 years so if the CW do another season then they will be in it (though Kripke has only sighned on for 5)

Dude Rorschach

SPOILER ALERT!

hahahhahahahahhah! Seriously thought, why Clancy Brown never got a emmy nod for that role is a mystery to me. Thank the gods below we got another season, could you imagine if it ended like that? Major blue balls. Appleonia was the shit though, that whole dynamic with her and Sophie was tight. Damn I miss that show. Damn you HBO! DAMN YOUUUU!!!

@josh. OMG! Really?? That is so frikin fantastic! Thanks for that news!
@Anil. Tom Welling is so NOT a hunk when he keeps being a pansy on the show. NOW Green Arrow is so fine. The things I would do to him.... and Michael Rosenbaum. The only thing Smallville has going for it is that they have casted the best Lois Lane I have ever seen. Yay for Erica Durance!
