STRANGER THINGS Season 4 Teaser Takes Us Back To The 1950s To The Very Haunted Creel House

The latest teaser for Stranger Things Season 4 introduces the Creel House, a new location deemed "super important" that has a very eerie background history. Unfortunately, no release date was announced.

As part of the major Tudum event today, Netflix has released a new teaser for the highly anticipated fourth season of Stranger Things. The new trailer gives off some seriously creepy vibes as it takes us back to the 1950s.

Set to the track of Ella Fitzgerald's "Dream a Little Dream of Me," we get a glimpse of a happy family moving into a house that looks like it was pulled directly from The Haunting of Hill House. But as they soon find out, something is not quite right with this place.

The smiles turn to unease as the lights flicker before cutting to a rather ominous scene of the father standing and facing the door with his two kids laying on the ground. We then cut back to the present day when Stranger Things is typically set, and see the familiar faces of Dustin, Steve, Max, and the rest of the gang breaking into that same house. It appears they are in search of some sort of clue, presumably tied to the Upside Down.

The show's creators, the Duffer Brothers, describe the Creel House as a "super-important" location in Season 4. The house belongs to that of Victor Creel (Robert Englund), who is described as "a disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s."

The trailer's description teases "003/004," presumably hinting at one more teaser before we hopefully get to see a more official trailer for Season 4. Anticipation for the new season is at an incredible high, especially since the wait has been so long due to COVID and other delays.

Stranger Things Season 4 is set to premiere at some point in 2022, but unfortunately, no actual release date was announced.

Idc what anyone says, season three was classic, brilliant, and as good as it gets. Can’t wait to see where it goes next.

@ReverseFlasher - genuinely happy you enjoyed it. I definitely saw what they were going for but, for me, all the magic from the first 2 seasons were gone. It felt very.... I guess forced. Nothing felt organic like the first 2 seasons. First 2 seasons felt.... for lack of a better word, real. Season 3 felt like a product. To me.

@ElricReturns - Im with you. 1st season is still the best in my mind. 3rd was good, but it felt like something different. The kid that likes 11 (cant remember his name since its been like a decade since the 3rd season came out) was REALLY annoying to me. I thought his outbursts toward Hopper were a little over the top. Like, when did he become such a little jerk?

@Shivermetimbers - Yeah, but there should be a lot of fresh material for the next season as the 'kids" hit their mid-30's and start having early midlife crisis issues.

Why?

Let me guess. Englund's character says he's innocent. He accuses some demons. The monsters murdered his family. So the crime house is a door to the dark dimension.

Hm... didn't really do anything for me. Here's hoping this is a solid and thrilling FINAL season. If this show goes on, it should be as something else. Season 2 did everything else it could with this format that was somewhat original, season 3 was just more of the same and there was actually nothing in this tease that got me even remotely hyped, or even base line interested. When the trailer finished I was overcome with MEH...

Im so tired of the Upside Down, I wish every season they tackled some new paranormal thing.

For me, every season was an improvement, and these teasers are really chilling.

It's sad that there are already only two seasons left. This show has grown on me.

And Dustin is soooo old!
