We recently found out that the Disney+ Cassian Andor series had commenced production in London, and Lucasfilm has now shared our first look at the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story prequel via a behind-the-scenes sizzle reel.

The video begins with shots from Rogue One, but as it progresses we get to see some concept art, creature designs, BTS clips, and more. Right at the end, we get a first look at Diego Luna as the ruthless freedom fighter and an official logo reveal.

Andor will follow the adventures of the titular Rebel spy and his droid pal K-2SO during the formative years of the Rebellion and prior to the events of Rogue One. The rousing spy thriller will "explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire."

Toby Haynes (Black Mirror) will helm Cassian Andor, stepping in to replace original director Tony Gilroy, who was reportedly forced to drop out due to COVID-19 related travel restrictions. The Americans producer Stephen Schiff will serve as showrunner on the series, which will also feature Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgard, and Kyle Soller in undisclosed roles.

Andor is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2022.

From all the stuff they just showed, this is probably my least anticipates. Rogue Squadron is definitely on top

I'm sure it'll be good, but it's hard to get excited about this with all the other announcements.

Couldn’t care less about this show but the low expectations may make it easy for it to exceed it.

Really wish the title was just his full name. Never cared for these single word titles

@OmegaDaGrodd - "Vader" is the only one that would sound badass if that were to become a series

@OmegaDaGrodd - you mean you don’t like the inspired titles Solo and Lando either?!

I actually 200% agree with you

I'll watch because of Diego Luna and "Andor" is a smart title.

Have no interest in this one. Rogue One was good, but with the exception of Donnie Yen, dont think any of the characters are interesting enough for a show just about them

@dracula - Kind of wish they had made a show about Donnie Yen's character instead. I didn't even remember Andor's name until this show was being developed.

Just like Han Solo, why make a movie/series when the character development that actually makes the character interesting happens during the part we've already seen - and that comes after the new material?

As long as K-2SO is in this, I'm in too.

I don’t get the money being poured into this at all. Rogue One barely registered on the radar of a lot of general audiences and most people I know. I’ve seen the film three times and barely remember his character. They made a series about using plans to destroy the death star. Then a movie about stealing the plans. Now a series that’s probably about retrieving the intel about the plans,

There’s not more interesting things to throw the money at?
