To close out their jam-packed presentation, Disney+ finally unveiled the official teaser trailer for their upcoming live-action Star Wars series,
The Mandalorian, which has Jon Favreau (
Iron Man) onboard as creator, showrunner, producer and one of the writers.
While there isn't much in terms of plot details, the teaser does offer up first looks at the star cast, which includes Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, and Werner Herzog.
The freshman season will feature episodes directed by Dave Filoni (
Star Wars Rebels), Taika Waititi (
Thor: Ragnarok), Bryce Dallas Howard (
Solemates), Rick Famuyiwa (
Dope) and Deborah Chow (
Jessica Jones).
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. “The Mandalorian” is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
