OBI-WAN KENOBI Easter Eggs In Latest Episode Reveal Legends Jedi Who Survived Order 66 - Possible SPOILERS

The third episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi introduced the concept of "The Path," a literal route through the Galaxy where Jedi and Force-sensitive beings can find refuge from the Empire.

Some of the messages written in Aurebesh confirmed that certain key characters had survived Order 66, including The Clone Wars' Quinlan Vos. In the latest instalment of the Disney+ series, we saw more etchings, this time on Jabiim. Among the names written on the wall (first shared by SFFGazette.com) that Obi-Wan looks at were "Corwin Shelvay," "Djinn Atlis," and "Roganda Ismaren."

All three of these characters appeared in Star Wars Legends stories, though they're not exactly big names (making us think this was just a fun Easter Egg for hardcore fans rather than a hint we'll see any of them again). We also see the name "Tiberius," likely a nod to obscure Jedi Knight, Tiberius Anderlock.

During this sequence, we're sure you also spotted those lightsabers. The weapons are presumably all that remains of some of the Jedi who didn't survive being hunted by the Empire, and as much as we'd love to namedrop a popular character here, not a single one of the hilts is instantly recognisable.

The Path is an intriguing concept and one many fans anticipate being explored in the upcoming Jedi: Survivor video game. That makes the most sense, and hopefully means a few familiar faces from the past will make their presence felt in this Galaxy Far, Far Away.

The season finale of Obi-Wan Kenobi will arrive on Disney+ next Wednesday, June 22.

Why leave the lightsabers there? It's just announcing jedi passed through here, and identifies which jedi were helped since every lightsaber is unique to the jedi who wields it.

@Origame - Idk if it meant that those particular Jedi hadn’t made it, or if was just a way of saying they put down their lightsabers, leaving their Jedi identities behind to go into hiding.

I’ve never personally been a big fan of the resistance and rebels etc etc, it’s the Jedi and force wielders that we’re the draw for me. Solo and Rogue One were rather boring for that particular reason. The more force users the more appealing, at least for me.

That said, Mando is super entertaining. Though it helps that Grogu and Ahsoka and even Lukr show up from time to time

@MuadDib - the point isn't that they abandoned their lightsabers. It's that they left the lightsabers there just in that box. It's proof that these people are working with the jedi and confirms those jedi are still alive and should be hunted.

@Origame - I actually thought it was the sabers of dead Jedis collected by those people, with the robe of a dead Jedi, don’t know but that’s what I thought. Also even though every lightsaber was specific to an individual, it doesn’t mean someone would instantly know who that individual was unless you were a good friend, Darth Vader would recognise Obi Wan’s lightsaber but he would not know who’s sabers these belonged to.

@JohnCastillo - I mean, they seized the jedi temple and archives. The information on the jedi and their lightsabers really should be something they have access to. Especially since Vader was a former jedi and would know this.

@Origame - Would the design of a specific lightsaber be on record? Like would s customised police gun go on their record?

@JohnCastillo - considering the importance of lightsabers to jedi, yes. A lightsaber is basically considered a badge of their position in the jedi order. Even the color has significance, indicating what kind of jedi they are.

@JohnCastillo - also, all legally sold guns have tracking numbers on them. That includes police issued ones.

@Origame - having dead Jedi in cages as if the Empire has a wax museum epitomizes stupidity on so many insane levels.

The series has not indicated that Obi Wan or other characters must piss or take a dump.
MuadDib
MuadDib - 6/17/2022, 6:00 PM
@PartyKiller - None ever do. What happens when Mando or Luke are flying their small spaceships for hours on end? Or is it simply that they jump through worm holes and space travels never more than a few mins? I’d imagine there has to be a time Mando jumps out after landing and immediately starts removing his trousers to take a dump. Lmao

This show has so much potential… how did they mess it up so badly?

@globaltravels - what have they messed up? Didn’t they give you the story you always dreamed of?
McMurdo

@globaltravels - Kennedy. She fired a real writer with a vision and brought in Joby [frick]ing Harold. Add to that the notion that Chow clearly wasn't ready for her own series and here we are.

Personally I thought this past episode was great, though I haven't always loved the previous ones.
