Over the weekend, Lucasfilm released the first trailers for Ahsoka and The Mandalorian season 3...at Star Wars Celebration. Unfortunately, neither of those teasers have been shared online; there were some leaked copies out there, but Disney has acted quickly to pull them from social media platforms.

The Ahsoka sneak peek confirmed some big returns in the Disney+ series, including Hera Syndulla! The Star Wars Rebels character was only shown from behind, but she's clearly been cast, and we can't help but wonder if this is who Mary Elizabeth Winstead will play in the show.

Hera's trusty droid, Chopper, was brought out on stage and also announced for Ahsoka, while Natasha Liu has finally been confirmed as Sabine Wren. She was spotted right at the end of the teaser looking at the mural she painted of Ezra Bridger and the team in the Star Wars Rebels finale.

Elsewhere in the footage, we saw Huyang, the droid played by David Tennant in The Clone Wars and Rebels.

As for The Mandalorian, fans got to see more of Katee Sackhoff's Bo-Katan Kryze and her fellow Mandalorians, with a first proper look at Mandalore blowing the roof off the building.

There was also a Star Destroyer - we anticipate the show revealing more about how the Empire became The First Order - and a couple of creatures who are clearly the same species as The Rise of Skywalker's Babu Frik. While The Mandalorian is currently in post-production, this footage looks phenomenal, and waiting until next February isn't going to be easy for Star Wars fans.

Both Ahsoka and The Mandalorian will premiere on Disney+ in 2023.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera would be great casting, even though it's kinda weird Hera will be portrayed by someone 15 years younger at a later point in the timeline.

As for the First Order, I'm still not interested in seeing that. I actually would like to see more of the Sith Eternal, which I think is one of the few cool things introduced in IX.

If we see Kanan through some flashback or as a force Ghost accompanying Ezra during his captivity in a cell on Thrawn's super destroyer, Gael Garcia Bernal could be a good Kanan.

@Repian - Why not just get Freddie Prinze Jr back? I get they’ve been recasting a lot of the other roles for live action, but Prinze isn’t only a voice actor and makes as much sense to keep as Katee Sackoff did.

@LilJimmy - I don't mind that as long as it's done right. The First Order was a cool concept but was tarnished with The Last Jedi and destroyed with The Rise of Skywalker. But it's beginning can make for interesting storytelling.

Is that a possible hint at Tennants live action Star Wars debut?

So hyped for Mando season 3 but Ahsoka is looking more and more promising, I kinda envisioned it being an almost anthology of Ahsoka with the main goal being Thrawn and Ezra, but it sounds more and more like we're finally getting were Rebels final scene cuts.

Not too interested in The First Order at all. I hope they cast Kanan well.

Eric Balfour looks like he was born to play him

@GhostDog - honestly, freddie prinze jr should just do live-action Kanan too, especially as he'll only be flashbacks or force ghost

Let's hope not.
