Four new clips from Venom: Let There Be Carnage have been released, and if you're curious about what to expect from the movie, these do a great job of showing what director Andy Serkis has brought to the table.
We start by watching as Eddie Brock clashes with Venom, and things ultimately get physical between these two as they continue to squabble about their partnership. Next, we see another tense confrontation, this time between Eddie and Stephen Graham's Detective Patrick Mulligan (who, in the comic books, ultimately becomes Toxin).
Talking of clashes, things take a dark turn between Eddie (what is it with this guy?) and Cletus Kasady when the two come face to face one final time before the serial killer's execution. It sounds like the reporter may have played a role in putting the villain on Death Row, but we'll see. In a final clip, we get to learn a little more about Shriek, and she's certainly an intense presence here.
Honestly, everything we see here appears to be a major improvement over 2018's Venom, and it's definitely going to be interesting to find out how fans respond to this follow-up.
"Tom Hardy returns to the big screen as the lethal protector Venom, one of Marvel's greatest and most complex characters," reads a brief synopsis that was released on the movie's website (where you can now purchase tickets for the movie). "Directed by Andy Serkis, the film also stars Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson, in the role of the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage."
As noted, Venom: Let There Be Carnage stars Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Woody Harrelson. It's set to be released in theaters on October 1, 2021.
