VENOM: LET THERE BE CARNAGE Deleted Scene Reveals Carnage's Original Crazy Plan For World Domination

Venom: Let There Be Carnage was a whole lot of fun, but it's not unfair to say the stakes were relatively low. Well, in this deleted scene, we learn more about Carnage's twisted plan for world domination.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage arrived on Digital platforms today, and in this deleted scene from the Marvel Comics sequel, we learn that Carnage once had greater ambitions than simply killing Eddie Brock.

The symbiote makes it clear to Cletus Kasady and Shriek that he wants to repopulate the world with symbiote/human hybrids, a pretty twisted concept that Frances Barrison definitely isn't 100% on board with. Given the movie's scant 90-minute runtime, it's hard to say how much this subplot was originally going to factor into the story, but it might have been fun to watch play out.

Ultimately, a simpler approach was taken and Venom: Let There Be Carnage didn't suffer too much for it. Spending a little more time with Carnage no doubt would have been welcomed by fans, though the villain's relatively limited screentime (where he was mostly showcased in action scenes) didn't stop the Venom sequel from earning generally favourable reviews or over $400 million worldwide!

"Venom: Let There Be Carnage is the ultimate Marvel movie; seeing Venom and Carnage clash is a comic book fan’s dream come true," we said in our review earlier this year, "but the epic action is bolstered by incredible visuals, some big laughs, and a surprising amount of heart."

if they cant get venom right, doubt they will be Kraven or Morbius right

@dracula - honestly Morbius is a freebie in my opinion, he’s pretty hard to mess up… unless they make him an idiot. You know on second thought you’re right. Venom 2 made Venom’s fixed menacing snarl almost superfluous compared to his idiotic personality. Yes they can mos def mess each and every character up

Just awful beyond my wildest expectations.

When you make a superhero movie where he's fighting a serial killer, and you have me actively rooting for the serial killer to win, there's a problem.

so....is Topher Grace the best live action Venom?

@dracula - maybe but not best looking version as Todd McFarland says myself and him are satisfied with this new venom.,
Combine ultimate venom with lethal protector and you this new venom

@dracula - Honestly, and I think I have said this before, but the idea of emphasizing Brock as a "scumbag Peter Parker" wasn't a terrible idea as far as re-inventing characters go, but Raimi's well-reported dislike of the character made him not even try to give him actually compelling story. But, at least I can say that there was a seed of a good idea, which I honestly can't with these Venom solo movies.

@dracula - it's weird but I guess yea. I really don't get what Hardy is trying to do with this character. His Eddie Brock is just such a bad performance.

Look… the first venom was ok but watchable… this one though? This was a chore to watch. I just don’t get how they made it that bad and even that deleted scene is bad

Off topic: I’m watching civil war and this movie is so damn good. That chase scene is top notch

I kind of feel that the villain of Venom 3 will be Topher Grace's Venom. While the bulk of the film will be about Peter vs Venom (Hardy) it will still be a multiverse film with another Venom.

@ElricReturns - ok so I googled em and uhhh… man. Dang.

He’s married to that lady that played Gemma. With all her lies and snooping? That must be rough.

No seriously I never knew who Kurt sutter was
ElricReturns
ElricReturns - 11/23/2021, 8:57 PM
@TheWalkingCuban - he's the shows creator, writer, directed a bunch of the episodes... and he was involved in a lot if big shows before Sons. Yeah, Kurt Sutter was married to Katy Segal who played Gemma. You should look up interviews with Katy, it's a trip how completely different she is from Gemma. She's like the sweetest lady on the planet, very classy.

Yeah when you said he didn't feel like an actor I thought perhaps you were making a joke on him not being an actor lol
TheWalkingCuban
TheWalkingCuban - 11/23/2021, 9:28 PM
@ElricReturns - The actual joke with me saying that about Katy Sagal, loved her since I was a kid, but Kurt Sutter, Well I see his name plenty at the beginning of the episodes, I am about to start season five of Sons of Anarchy, but I never knew he was one of the songs, I didn’t know Kurt at all so, no recognition from me, and so, man, I’m even more impressed now. Otto feels like a real biker inmate. Ope is probably the second most believable but I know he was in walking dead. Knew nothing about Otto. Turns out Kurt Sutter is a beast, in many areas!

Why does Carnage sound like Clancy Brown and not a high pitched maniac like he should?
