We got our first official look at Spider-Man: No Way Home actor Tom Holland (Avengers: Endgame, Chaos Walking) as Nathan Drake in Sony's upcoming Uncharted adaptation back in January, and the studio (via NY Times) has now released a second image featuring the young adventurer alongside his friend and mentor, Victor "Sully" Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg).
Wahlberg recently shared an Instagram photo of himself sporting Sully's trademark mustache, but there's no sign of a lip-warmer here. This has led to speculation that the movie will see a significant time-jump in the last act, but that's just one of many theories.
Check out the new still below and let us know what you think.
Sony's adaptation will be set before the events of the first game and serve as an origin story for the beloved character, as Drake embarks on his first globe-trotting adventure alongside mentor Sully.
Travis Knight, Dan Trachtenberg, Shawn Levy, Seth Gordon, Neil Burger and David O. Russell were all attached to helm Uncharted at one time or another, before Venom's Ruben Fleischer was finally confirmed as director last March.
Uncharted will also star Antonio Banderas, Sophia Ali and Tati Gabrielle. The movie is (currently) set to hit theaters on February 18, 2022.
