Paul Dano and Anton Yelchin Among Actors On WARCRAFT Shortlist

A list of actors said to be vying for the other lead role in Legendary Pictures/Atlas Entertainment's live action take on the fantasy adventure video game, from Moon director Duncan Jones.

Deadline have another update on Duncan Jones' live action adaptation of World Of Warcraft. As we already know, Paula Patton is in advanced negotiations and Colin Farrell has been offered one of the leads, and possibly joining them will be Paul Dano (Prisoners) Travis Fimmel (Vikings), Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels) or Star Trek Into Darkness' Anton Yelchin. No word yet on which character any of the above are in the mix to play, but it's likely that Farrell has been offered the role of Medivh the Mage, and the younger actors are probably in contention to play Khadgar.

Dude... Paul Dano in Prisoners.... [Frick]ing nuts. Great movie and great performances all around. And it has a lot of people that are in CBM's so it's not completely off topic.

Would be cool to see Dano in Warcraft

They really just need to do an all CGI movie. Blizzard has some pretty astounding CGI, and I imagine most of the races and monsters will need to be CGI anyways, so why not do it all.

I actually don't care for the choices outside of Colin Farrell. Dano, Patton, and Yelchin all seem like "now" type people and not back in middle earth type people. I just think they could of found better looks for some of the people. Maybe a big more rugged looking in the face youth?
