Megan Gale Not Expecting To Play Wonder Woman In The New JUSTICE LEAGUE Movie

Megan Gale was cast in George Millers interpretation of Justice League when it was green lit way back when, but Gale is not expecting Warner Brother to ask her to pick up the lasso for the new JLA movie they are writing currently.

Today Christopher Nolan shared that he has no interest in being involved with Warner Brothers new Justice League project. The decision came as a disappointment to fans because of Nolan's work on the Bat franchise as well as him producing the new Superman flick Man Of Steel. You can put one other name in the list of people who don't expect to be involved with the picture as well, Megan Gale. Gale, who was cast as Wonder Woman in George Miller's Justice League, doesn't expect to hear the phone ring with WB on the line to ask her to play the Amazon Princess. “By the time they write the script and get it together, I don’t think they’ll be casting a 40-year-old Wonder Woman. Some hot 20-year-old will get the job. As they should. I’m cool with that,” the 37 year old model told Moviehole. She is also curious who Warner Brothers is going to get to direct the film as well saying, "If it is indeed back on, it’d be interesting to know who’s directing it – because George Miller is going to be busy with the new Mad Max film for the next couple of years.” She also expressed excitement for the new film, but also said she was disappointed the George Miller film never happened.

Gangster Squad writer Will Beall is writing the current Justice League film treatment. There is no word on if DC is working towards a shared universe, but some speculation has put Man Of Steel as the jumping off point for the film. DC is currently working on getting film adaptations of Aquaman, The Flash, Green Arrow, Lobo, The Suicide Squad, Shazam and Wonder Woman of the ground to go a long with their Justice League.

The problem was the sentence "37 Year old model" Whatever happened to hearing actors and actresses for roles, you know, those people with an actual ability to act. It is as bad as hiring singers to be in a movie

@CloneKev
Seriously. I could care less about a Justice League movie. As long as they make over the top good single hero films, I will be satisfied. Batman did it, Man of steel looks like it will be able to do it. Green Lantern wasn't able to unfortunately.

@CloneKev yes and no on some points, firstly I think GL will be rebooted so won't be part of the MoS universe, even if that wasn't to happen Superman could have been anywhere. Unlike War Machine who never rocked up during a planetary attack, nor was mentioned. Point being, audiences will let things slide.

Audiences may see Superman as powerful, but that is why you up the threat level, take Thor, why would a 'God' need a man who can fire a bow an arrow, so again if done well audiences will accept that fact he needs the team and vice versa.

Lastly somewhere might see it as a rip off, but that us what marketing is for, secondly comicbook companies have been copying each other for years, the Avengers being Marvels JL, but if you can establish a unique identity then again audiences will see this as something new and interesting.

@CloneKev
1. From what has been said JLA script is a lot more dark and mature than Avengers.

2.Same thing with Thor, but that's like going against the whole concept of the JLA. It's been working in comics for all these years I'm sure there is some threat out there too big for Superman

3.Have you seen MOS or JLA? We don't even know that Reynolds shares the same universe.

But I agree that if DC wants to catch up they need to learn from MARVEL and get some people who actually know the characters.
Knightrider
Knightrider - 7/9/2012, 9:57 PM
@CloneKev True, but I felt being stabbed by Loki would be like Supes getting stabbed by Zod, we'd assume he's have the strength to do it, and it would be done type of alien metal, it is what you create in the world of the movie.

As for Superman, yeah he has his cliche, I'd say silver age image, which he needs to shake off, much like Batman's campy image so hears hoping a new movie does that. I hope GL isn't in the same universe as in DC Supes was always the first
Knightrider
Knightrider - 7/9/2012, 9:59 PM
@DarkKnight Agreed I would take great solo films over an average JL movie anyday

@CloneKev Which is exactly why I prefer Thor over Superman, he has a weakness, Superman is invulnerable. And don't pull that stupid Kryptonite and Magic bullcrap, cause I've read series' where he overcame both.
Knightrider
Knightrider - 7/9/2012, 10:09 PM
@CloneKev Agreed they have kinda backed themselves into a corner, on the one hand do they rush it, knowing that the Avengers is fresh in the mind so demand for team up movies is high, but risk making it pants or take their time (which I think they should) but that means Marvel get further ahead.

I say take the time to do it right and it will be appreciated and in the long run will be better all round.

Plus what I also think has got WB into gear is there in no Harry Potter or Batman to rely on, so the big franchise option is DC superheros

Enough with this DC needs to catch up with Marvel stuff.Its Disney vs Warner Bros.

Look at what WB is bringing to Comic-Con for 2012:The Hobbit,2013: Man of Steel,Pacific Rim,The Hobbit (again) Likely 2014:Mad Max,Godzilla. Sure WB wants to fill the post Harry Potter,Nolan Batman void with other DC product. but its not like the studio has nothing big to offer.

That is why I doubt WB will go the Marvel route and put out solo movies with JLA characters ahead of a Justice League film.

Its too much risk vs reward.Why would WB risk 150 fifty million on The Flash or Wonder Woman stand alone films when they can use that money on a Godzilla film thats sure to make huge global BO?

WB is more likely to just introduce the other JLA characters in a JLA film that would be marketed around Batman and Superman.

Personally don't think a justice team would work right.

Love dc/marvel but personally never been able to stand green lantern but If they did a justice league without him it might be good.
