BOX OFFICE: Patty Jenkins And Gal Gadot's WONDER WOMAN Crosses $500 Million Worldwide

As Wonder Woman swept past the $500 million mark at the worldwide box office, some analyst are speculating that the film could finish in the mid-$700 million range before it leaves theaters.  While the film won't outgross Cars 3 to retain the #1 spot at the North American box office, it's relatively low percentage drop in its third weekend of release should have WB announcing a sequel any day (if they're not saving it for SDCC in July).

Domestically, the film has swept pushed past $250 million and should surpass $270 million before the weekend concludes.

Before she was Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, Diana meets an American pilot (Chris Pine) who tells her about the massive conflict that's raging in the outside world. Convinced that she can stop the threat, Diana leaves her home for the first time. Fighting alongside men in a war to end all wars, she finally discovers her full powers and true destiny.
