X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX And NEW MUTANTS Cast Members Begin To Bond Ahead Of Filming Start Dates
With filming expected to begin soon, the Dark Phoenix and New Mutants casts have touched down in their respective locations and have shared a few snaps of them hanging out with one another.
The X-Men are back!
Over the weekend, Professor X star James McAvoy confirmed that several members of the X-Men: Dark Phoenix have touched down in Montréal by sharing a fun group photo of himself, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, director/writer Simon Kinberg, producer Hutch Parker, and guests attending a dinner hosted by Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau.
The full cast has yet to be revealed, but despite not being pictured, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, and Nicholas Hoult were all recently confirmed to return. Also, last we heard, 2x Academy Award-nominee Jessica Chastain was in talks to portray Shi'ar Empress Lilandra, a casting McAvoy may or may not have accidentally confirmed in a separate post. Principal photography is expected to begin June 28, so if we're lucky, an official announcement revealing more major players may just be just around the horizon.
In the meantime, check out the group shot below:
Meanwhile, in Boston, the cast members of Josh Boone's New Mutants have also started to bond ahead of their production start date on July 10. Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Blu Hunt, and Henry Zaga were all sharing photos of each other on their respective Instagram pages over the weekend. Check out a few snapshots below:
