While it remains to be seen what Disney and Marvel Studios have planned for the X-Men and whether or not they'll keep the current cast or have a complete overhaul, there is still at least one major X-film on the way this summer as fans will soon be reintroduced to the Dark Phoenix (Sophie Turner), who seems absolutely hellbent on bringing the world to its knees.

Stars Nicholas Hoult, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Evan Peters, Alexandra Shipp, and Kodi Smit-McPhee will be in attendance today at WonderCon Anaheim to preview the upcoming X-Men sequel, which is due out in theaters June 7.

Jean Grey begins to develop incredible powers that corrupt and turn her into a Dark Phoenix. Now the X-Men will have to decide if the life of a team member is worth more than all the people living in the world.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix features:
Director: Simon Kinberg
James McAvoy as Charles Xavier/Professor X
Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto
Jennifer Lawrence as Raven Darkhölme/Mystique
Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy/Beast
Tye Sheridan as Scott Summers/Cyclops
Sophie Turner as Jean Grey/Dark Phoenix
Alexandra Shipp as Ororo Munroe/Storm
Kodi Smit-McPhee as Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler
Evan Peters as Peter Maximoff/Quicksilver
Olivia Munn as Elizabeth Braddock/Psylocke
Jessica Chastain in an undisclosed role
Daniel Cudmore in an undisclosed role
Lamar Johnson in an undisclosed role

Pretty tone deaf poster. It looks cool and all but compare this with the funeral-toned trailer. Not going to see this one, I waited for Apocalypse on Bluray and that turned out to be wise, can't imagine this rights any wrongs.

@SpideyPuffsMJ - Did...didn't the blu-ray cost more than the movie ticket would've?

The poster is dope artistically but fails conceptually since the connection to this Jean Grey is weak as [frick].

I do feel bad for the young cast who really hasn't been around that long. It's gotta be akward trying to be excited about/promote a movie that has no studio anymore. Shame they have to be victims of Kingberg's attempt at redemption by doing the exact same movie that rebooted the franchise in the first place.

@Doomsday8888 - I waited a few weeks then binged to episode 5, now I'm waiting a few more so I can binge the rest. This show is too good to wait a week per episode.

Gorgeous poster. I like the portrayal of Jean struggling to control the Phoenix that is depicted below as it escapes. They should do more like these.

I mean, artistically it looks cool and I would hang that in my room, but just showing this to people, I don't think anyone would know what it was really for. With the lightning bolt, the effects that kind of look like speed lines from the comics and the red and yellow people could mistake it for a Flash poster or something. Also while the Dark Phoenix story line and the Phoenix Force itself is fairly well known in the comic world, it's not exactly something that people just immediately recognize has to do with the X-Men so I really think they should have rethought the title excluding X-Men.

Woah! That's the best poster I've seen in a while. Way cooler than boring floating heads on the Avengers 4 poster
