DARK PHOENIX: The X-Men Are No Match For Jean Grey's Destructive Power In This Newly Released TV Spot

Jean Grey doesn't take kindly to threats in the latest TV spot for Dark Phoenix, and we're given a taste of the kind of destructive power she's about to unleash when the film hits theaters next month.

Dark Phoenix will be 20th Century Fox's swan song for the X-Men, and it's shaping up to be quite the cinematic event. Each newly released TV spot for the film seemingly tops the previous ones in terms of action and emotion.  As the studio teases, this will be the most "intense" X-Men movie ever made.

The latest TV spot gives us a taste of that intensity and emotion as the X-Men are faced with stopping one of their own in Jean Grey. Of course, as we see in the teaser, preventing her from spiraling out of control and destroying the planet will be no easy task, and even Professor X admits the X-Men are no match for her powers.

So how will they stop her? Well, that remains to be seen, but we'll find out when Dark Phoenix hit theaters next month.

This is the story of one of the X-Men’s most beloved characters, Jean Grey, as she evolves into the iconic DARK PHOENIX. During a life-threatening rescue mission in space, Jean is hit by a cosmic force that transforms her into one of the most powerful mutants of all. Wrestling with this increasingly unstable power as well as her own personal demons, Jean spirals out of control, tearing the X-Men family apart and threatening to destroy the very fabric of our planet.

Dark Phoenix stars James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler), Evan Peters (Quicksilver), and Jessica Chastain. It's directed by Simon Kinberg.

Dark Phoenix rises in theaters on June 7. Do you plan on seeing?

This is gonna be a kodi special for me... that or when it comes out on digital I may rent it. I don't like rewarding crap with my hard earned money.

This actually doesn't look terrible. Looks...less? Kinda like Logan. Doesn't seem to be like as Large, it just seems almost more of a personal story surrounding these characters in way less locations than in like DOFP and Apocalypse. Maybe because it seems like everyone is always together rather than a bunch of characters all scattered or something.

Jean's actress seems kinda blah and terrible though. The way she has a stiff arm deflecting the lightning just looks so terrible. When she says "Are you threatening me" it's not terrifying at all. It just sounds bad.

I won't go to theatres for it I don't think but I'll definitely check it out on Digital. I'm very curious to see how they end this Fox X-Men.

@JackShephard23 - thats trailer trickery. Jean and Storm are two different scenes

Seeing Turner in this is so distracting, thanks to Game of Thrones I can't see her as someone else then Sansa. The same also applies for the other cast members too. I was playing Infinite Warfare, and all I could see was Jon Snow instead of Kit Harrington or Salen Kotch

@MalseMarcel - I'm personally looking forward to seeing the original King in the North!!! as an Eternal. I really hope they finalized that deal, Robb Stark FTW!!!

@LongMayHeReign - Richard Madden is one if the few I don’t see as his GoT character. I always think when I see him that’s Richard Madden and not someone else (not even the character he is playing)

Anyway, I’m pretty stoked if he joins the MCU

@MalseMarcel - I feel the same way honestly, but I loved his character of Robb so much that he will always be the King to me.

But he's reaching a level of enjoyment for me that's only occupied by Idris and Luke Evans currently, that level being actors who are criminally underused in film. Hopefully Luke gets the Feige call at some point, I don't know what it is about him besides being a good actor but dude is just awesome. It's sad to think that if he wasn't gay he'd probably have landed more roles by now.

@LongMayHeReign - Robb was up until season 3 definitely my favorite character (mostly because the war of five kings was the only interesting storyline for me).

And I hope Luke Evans get’s the call soon. I want him for either Namor or Hercules. Preferably the last, since rumour has it he is appearing in Eternals

@Forthas - I don't see this being better than X2 or DOFP but I admire the hope lol

@Brave - That is likely wishful thinking and I would add Logan to that list BUT I will say I had no idea Winter Solder would be the film it became and that was after watching the trailers. It is now the best Marvel film ever made in my opinion.

I hope Dark Phoenix is at least above X3 and Apocalypse.
