Dark Phoenix will be 20th Century Fox's swan song for the
X-Men, and it's shaping up to be quite the cinematic event. Each newly released TV spot for the film seemingly tops
the previous ones in terms of action and emotion. As the studio teases, this will be the most "intense"
X-Men movie ever made.
The latest TV spot gives us a taste of that intensity and emotion as the X-Men are faced with stopping one of their own in Jean Grey. Of course, as we see in the teaser, preventing her from spiraling out of control and destroying the planet will be no easy task, and even Professor X admits the X-Men are no match for her powers.
So how will they stop her? Well, that remains to be seen, but we'll find out when
Dark Phoenix hit theaters next month.
This is the story of one of the X-Men’s most beloved characters, Jean Grey, as she evolves into the iconic DARK PHOENIX. During a life-threatening rescue mission in space, Jean is hit by a cosmic force that transforms her into one of the most powerful mutants of all. Wrestling with this increasingly unstable power as well as her own personal demons, Jean spirals out of control, tearing the X-Men family apart and threatening to destroy the very fabric of our planet.

It's directed by Simon Kinberg.
