Right at the end of X-Men: Apocalypse, we got a shot of the new team of mutants suited-up in more comic-accurate outfits than we'd seen them sport in previous films, but it looks like their costumes for Dark Phoenix are going down an even more fan-friendly route.

X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX - New Images Feature Jean Grey, Mystique, Professor X & More - Possible SPOILERS Ahead

A new photo from the set (via Xavier Files on Twitter) gives us a distant look at Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Quicksilver (Evan Peters), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) in their redesigned costumes, and they should be very familiar to fans of Frank Quietly and Grant Morrison's New X-Men!

There are also several other characters in the foreground with their backs to us (the bald one could well be Charles Xavier), wearing what appear to be red hazmat-type suits.

So, what do you guys think? Do these outfits earn the movie the benefit of the doubt?

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is set to be released in theaters on November 2nd, 2018.

I really want this movie to be good. I actually liked Apocalypse for the most part, but this needs to be an improvement.

@CaptainAmerica - that's my thoughts exactly. They look like their "space suits" from the rescue mission (explains the orange guys= astronauts).

For me storm gives it away. I can see all of them wearing this design as their official outfit (cyclops looks great) but her; she doesn't have her characteristic cape.
