X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX Set Pic Teases A Return To The Danger Room; NEW MUTANTS Casting Speculation
The first photo from the set of X-Men: Dark Phoenix has popped up online, and it would seem to confirm that Charles Xavier's team of young mutants will be returning to train in the Danger Room...
20th Century Fox recently announced that Simon Kinberg would helm the next installment in the main X-Men saga, and it looks like shooting is set to commence very soon in Vancouver.
As construction on the set gets underway, we have what is supposedly an image of the exterior of The Danger Room, which we saw in the final moments of Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse. There's also a photo of Sophie Turner posing with a fan.
In related news, Omega Underground has spotted some intriguing Twitter activity pertaining to the New Mutants movie. It seems director Josh Boone has started following young iZombie actress Kimi Alexander, who recently teased some type of "sci-fi" related audition on her Instagram account.
While this doesn't seem like much, keep in mind that Omega Underground were the first to report on Blu Hunt's (Mirage) casting under similar circumstances, so this is definitely worth keeping an eye on, at least. If Alexander is indeed in the running for a role, could it be Karma, perhaps?
