you know , I'm sorry but stinker and Vaugn once again raped the x men mythology, i was dissapointed with this story I really was, surprising how many so called X-men fans loved this movie when it was a blatant slap in the face.

loved the movie, except Darwin's death and the bad costume at the end. I'll be getting the Bluray though.

@gabe they didn't really rape the mythology. They just used different characters. Raping the mythology would have Xavier and Mags as twin brothers, Xavier being the bad guy, Mags being a hero, and neither being mutants, instead they're powered by cybernetic implants or something.

That's raping the mythology. For the most part, the characterisation was near perfect, and the liberties taken were minor and worked well for the film. As for the change in characters, yeah it would've been nice to have the originals from the comics in there, but that wouldve ruined continuity more, by having Cyclops being about 55 - 60 by the time of X1.
Not a slap in the face. It's making a movie and trying to make sense of what they have to use.

@gabe3096 Okay, it wasn't a good adaptation .. but I would not say it wasn't a good movie. The writing was, the character development (especially of Mysique) was great, the acting fantastic and the effects were awesome.

Loved the movie ,blu ray is the way to go. People need to stop hating Fox did a good jod with this. The way Fox did these movies is no different then the Xmen Evolution cartoon.

Real shame we couldn't of had respect for our First Class characters, could of been a magical film!

Still hope for the original 5 in a sequel, if not, pass.

Mags did own tho, but we all knew Fass would, shame!
