Okay, we won't keep you in suspense any longer: At the Girls premiere, Jonigkeit revealed to MTV that he would be playing a younger Toad in X-Men: Days Of Future Past.
"It's a really incredible thing to be a part of. I was so stoked to be working with all of these people. It was a really crazy experience. I read a lot of the comic books. I found out the storyline of my character, who is Toad. X-Men fans will know that Ray Park played him in the first movie, so it's a generation story of how he came to be. It's really cool. The aesthetics of the character are much different, and I'm not really allowed to say a whole lot more than that. It's darker. I would say it's a darker tone."
This is very interesting, as it suggests that we'll see the younger Magneto (Michael Fassbender) begin to assemble the "Brotherhood Of Mutants" that we see him lead in
X-Men. Obviously we already have Mystique, and that only leaves Sabertooth - played by both Tyler Mane in
X-Men, and then by Liev Schrieber in
X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Even those that revile that latter movie tend to admit Schrieber did a fine job as Victor Creed, so this would be a great chance for him to reprise the role - probably wishful thinking though. What do you guys make of this?
