Somebody alert the presses, Bryan Singer is actually going to follow the source material and have Quicksilver actually look like Quicksilver... at least follicly that is. When Evan Peters was asked if his Quicksilver will have silver locks he responded, "Yes. Yeah. Yeah, it's cool." As for a costume? Well, Evan only reveals that he wore jeans and a "sweet" jacket. Eh.
As we already know, director Bryan Singer, filmed the mutant speedster at 3,600 frames per second, which comes with it's own unique challenges.
Bright. It was incredibly bright. A lot of the crew and Bryan, himself, got to wear sunglasses. And the actors had to keep their eyes open for a long, long time, with that bright light just blaring at you. It's like the sun. It's brighter than the sun. It's right there in your eyes. But the end result is so worth it. You just power through it.
Evans admits that the process is quite painful and required the actor to keep his eyes open for as much as 20 seconds as the bright light shined upon his retinas. No pain, no gain. The super-slow motion technique is so impressive that he says you can see raindrops as though they are frozen in air. Neato!
We also know that Peters worked with McAvoy and Jackman, but he has also revealed that he shared screentime with Michael Fassbender.
