Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.


The Wolverine hits theaters July 26th, 2013.

InfiniteMonkey , you don't think this dude could have his pick of movie roles? He keeps returning to the character because obviously he has passion for playing him. He also feels he let fans down with the last movie and wants to make up for it. I hope The Wolverine surprises everyone.

Hugh Jackman has a presence in hollywood now. He doesn't need it anymore. If he wanted to, he could abandon the character and his career might even technically improve.

The man has worked with Aronofsky, Nolan, Hooper, etc.

And I don't recall one comment from him about the money. With all Marvel Studios actors and even Henry Cavill, it's been brought up.

When this movie was first announced with its original director I was really excited. It sounded like a great, hard wolverine movie. But this crap, the movie they're trying to push on us this time, has the same feel (at least to me) as xmen origins. This is the one movie this summer that's comic book related that I just don't trust, henceforth I probably won't go see it (unless my girlfriend makes me)

I also like Jackman's work outside of Wolverine character,he's a talented guy.
He really does like being Logan & does a solid job.
Hope this movie is as strong as Hugh's passion for Wolverine & the fans.
