Hugh Jackman Wins "Empire Icon" At Jameson Empire Awards

Of course Jackman has played a number of memorable roles over the years, but there's no doubt that he's best known for portraying Wolverine -- which he will do so for a record setting seventh time in X-Men: DOFP. A well deserved award indeed. See the full list of winners after the jump.

Great nominations. Happy to see The World's End and James McAvoy get some love (can't wait to see Filth). The only thing I would have changed was the Horror category, I much preferred Evil Dead to The Conjuring (I liked both movies, but Evil Dead is undeniably the scariest of the bunch if you ask me).

This is why I like Hugh Jackman he's always loved being the Wolverine, it always felt like some actors (Tobey McGuire) lamented playing iconic characters. And now they are basically nothing.

Hell yeah. Hugh IS wolverine. When he is done playing him we will all feel the same way. And i agree, evil dead is way better than conjouring.

I despise award shows. A bunch of actors measuring and praising their cocks.
