Deadline are covering the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards and reveal that Michael Fassbender has been presented with the "Best Actor" gong for his work in A Dangerous Method, Jane Eyre, Shame and critically acclaimed comic book movie X-Men: First Class. Meanwhile, Man of Steel's Michael Shannon was selected as runner-up for Take Shelter. These awards are said to be an indication of how the Academy Awards will go, so whether Fassbender (or Shannon) will be nominated remains to be seen. However, you can guarantee that if one of them walks away with the award, it'll be mentioned in the trailers for either of the upcoming comic book movies they'll star in.
