I never saw Descendants or Tree of Life, but I think it would be sweet if a comic book movie (like X-Men: First Class, Thor, or Captain America) would win best picture, or at the very least be runner up.

First Class haters can take one up their asses. Keep living in your bubble of denial, [frick]tards. Just because something you expected to suck didn't suck, you call it over-rated. LOL. I expected it to be shit too, and it totally proved me wrong.

Best CBM of 2011.

The dude was great in First Class, buuuut, if he is to get nominated it will be for Shame. I loved him in First Class, and he was the perfect choice for Magneto, but is is no way shape of form Oscar Worthy. His performance in First Class wasn't transcendent. If you want to see this guy really act check out Shame, the dude completely owns that movie.

If he wasn't in Shame, he would not have even been nominated for this award, let alone won. X-Men first class was the best CBM of the summer though hands down, and I actually liked it better than X-Men 1.2&3, mostly because of him and Mcavoy.

Good For Him!.. The acting in that movie between him and James McAvoy(as Prof. X) went perfect together(IMO). (Def.) looking forward to the sequel. I hope they bring in Cyclops and have that "Cyclops and Havoc" brother type teamwork between the two of them(which would make great fight scenes in my opinion) or have thier relationship/story connection follow the The X-Tinction Agenda somehow(say maybe 10 years down the road and they have Prof X. gradually become balder while introducing Sharon Xavier and her story backround as the result of that but not a perm. character). What do you yall think of this idea? I think it would be brilliant also considering the fact that Cyclops is considered to be Prof X.'s first recruit from the original line-up.

@THERAPIST: MARK IT ZERO!!!
Seriously though, good for Michael. He did a damn good job as Magneto. (Plus, the Irish accent shows up earlier than the beach. Rewatch the Argentina scene. Either way, he still did the best in the film, with the hardest job. He had to be menacing in four languages, 3 in the same scene!)
