Patrick Stewart Still Hasn't Seen X-Men: First Class; Issues A Warning To James McAvoy!

The actor, who portrayed Professor Xavier in the original trilogy of X-Men movies, says that he's STILL not see the mutant prequel, reveals why that is, and has a dire warning for James McAvoy...

"I haven’t seen it," Stewart told MTV News during a recent interview. "I haven’t been to the movies in over nine months. Believe me, and no one will believe this, especially I think James [McAvoy], there’s nothing personal about this. This is because I’ve been in the theater working all the time. I’m not able to see movies."

"[I’m] unlike my dear friend Bill Shatner, who always made a point of saying he had never seen ['Star Trek:] The Next Generation, you know like, ‘why would I waste my time?’"
he laughed. However, the actor added that "the word on it is ‘terrific,’", and "I have a significant break coming up, and I shall get myself down to the cinema. I’m looking forward to it."

He also commented on what it was like to be replaced, and what exactly James McAvoy has to look forward to: "Well look at whose shoes they’re stepping in! A little bit of spade work might have been done in advance. I just get great fun saying to James, ‘you know, you’re gonna lose all that lovely hair at some point'. It’s all gonna go."

I literally love Patrick Stewart. He is like the coolest guy in the world just listen to his voice and tell me he isn't cool. James McAvoy did do a fantastic job as Professor X he did Patrick Stewart justice. Michael Fassbender is truly the shining star of the film his performance I think was one of the best in all of CBMs. He definitely did Ian McKellan proud (no gay pun intended).

Patrick Steward is a superb actor. He didn't need either of the Trek or X-Men gigs to be revered amongst his colleagues - or fans. I don't believe that he would lie about being too busy - he's one of the good guys. Word has it that Shatner gave him a slightly rough time of it during their dual scenes in Generations. But he still speaks highly of him - whereas many of the original cast see him as nothing more than an 'Ego on a stick'. I think that he is AWESOME! He makes me proud to be British.

I am not a fan of Xmen First Class. I went to the theater to watch it, tried to enjoy it, and came out disappointed. Plus Beast looked absolutely RETARDED.

Beast has been cat-like for a decade in the comics. No one wants to hear your bitching cause beast doesnt look like he did in that cartoon you saw that one time.

Damn! That would be an awesome movie to watch -- I don't even care the genre or plot. Someone needs to make that happen. (Was surprised Morgan Freeman's older)

@THEHUCK---Its not the catlike thing I was bitching about. The prosthetics and makeup were just plain horrible. Ron Perlman looked more convincing in his makeup in that Beauty and the beast show back in the EIGHTIES OR NINETIES. Catlike or not it just looked horrible. AND he talked like he had a cock in his mouth too.
