RESULTS: Do You Want To See An X-Men: First Class Sequel?

Now that the film is out on DVD and Blu-Ray in US, and with producer Lauren Shuler Donner saying that they are discussing about the potential sequel, I posted a poll on whether or not would you like to see a sequel to Matthew Vaughn's critically acclaimed film X-Men: First Class...

It's safe to say that most people really liked X-Men: First Class. Matthew Vaughn's take on our favorite mutant heroes was unique, fresh and it was an overall good film. With the DVD and Blu-Ray release, producer Lauren Shuler Donner shared some info on many projects including on what is going on with First Class sequel. She said that if they are going to do it, it must be with director Matthew Vaughn. Which, lets face it, is the best idea. But, like everything in Hollywood, things change every day. Now, here are the results of the poll in which a lot of you voted...

X-Men: First Class is available on DVD and Blu-Ray now!

X-MEN: FIRST CLASS unveils the epic beginning of the X-Men saga – and a secret history of the Cold War and our world at the brink of nuclear Armageddon. As the first class discovers, harnesses, and comes to terms with their formidable powers, alliances are formed that will shape the eternal war between the heroes and villains of the X-Men universe.

i kinda hope that they find a way to connect the storylines between the First Class trilogy and the proposed sequel trilogy (X4-6).
maybe even some time travel to explain some of the disjointed continuity.

I'd love to see a sequel, with new mutants. maybe keep beast and havok though. i feel there's still a story for them to tell.

I don't know. I have mix feelings about this movie. I want them to do this right, but I doubt that. I mean, what's so hard about following the source material? Just saying.

X1 and X2 were awesome movies. After I saw those two and Spider-Man I found that Marvel movies are the best comic book movies overall (excluding Daredevil, Fantastic Four, and Ghost Rider). I know Wanted and Hellboy are considered CBM's but Marvel just catches my eye everytime. I'm looking forward to The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man, Thor 2, Iron Man 3 you name it.

I'd love for them to do a future story which mixes Days of Future Past with Age of Apocalypse and Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix where all humans are gone and all that are left are techno-organics and mutants, to show us where this will all end up, setting up the third movie in the First Class trilogy where they try to prevent it (ultimately doing so by letting House of M happen to get rid of most of the mutants, leading into the first 2000 X-Men movie where we the realization is that those we see in the first trilogy (from X-Men, X2, and The Last Stand), actually are the last ones left. Maybe they can re-shoot The Last Stand with Macavoy and Fassbender. Just throwing ideas out there, dunno if they'll work really.

I'd like them them to go through with a sequel and a threequel for First Class and then continue onto the original X-Men movies but remake them with the new cast with someone like Cable or Bishop trying to prevent what originally happened.

If Mortal Kombat and reboot their franchise and still keep the same type of story then there's no keeping the X-Men at Fox. Unless Fox are to lazy to think of reasonable explanations; which they usually are.

Fox, you've really let me down this time you know.

its safe to say that hollywood will push for another sequel, but if they do i think they should go with the original 5, scott, bobby, hank, jean and warren.

Who, small majority of people don't want a sequel to First Class. Seriously, one movie is enough for a prequel to this series; lets make a reboot NOW!

I say ... people should just do FAN FILMS of this material because FOX, DONNER-SHULLER (Or whatever her name is..)and any HACK (Yes,that means you Vaughn.)are going to keep screwing it up until we die off as a race.

Hey Matthew Vaughn? Did you hear that dageekundaground from the comicbookmovie.com comment section thinks your a HACK?!?

Of course you didn't.... and of course the majority want to see a sequel to a good film in the superhero genre! What REAL FAN wouldn't?

@dageekunderground

Seriously? Fan films? Have you aver seen a fan film that was really satisfying? That you felt really did the source material justice? I would love to get a list of these fan films because pretty much all of the fan films I have seen have been crap, with the exception of Grayson, which wasn't actually a fan film but a sample of work by a professional filmmaker who used it to pitch to Warner Bros.

if they do another film, pls try to give a new perspective to relationship (as enemies) to Magneto and Xavier; this movie was too gay to me.....
