looks awsome!

This looks pretty sweet. It seems that the story is more of a reboot, because in the first x-men Wolverine and Sabertooth don't see to know each other at all, and they definitely don't act like they were once "Brothers".
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 2/17/2009, 9:49 AM
Wolverine doesnt know Sabertooth because weapon x took his memories..but its hinted that Sabertooth does remember Wolvie when he takes his dog tags..maybe if they allowed the character even a small amount of development we would know a bit more

Looks sweet...i see now how they've changed the story, but whatever...It's not a bad change, i think it'll actually help with the story for the movie...looks great though, can't wait

Hehehe this made me happy. I am excited, looks intense. I loved all the battle scenes with Wolvie and Sabertooth, that was pretty cool.

DEFINITELLY WHAT THE WORLD NEEDED TO SEE AS FAR AS SABERTOOTH, THIS IS WHAT FANS WERE SHAFTED ON WITH TYLER MANES TAKE, OR AT LEAST SINGERS TAKE (SORRY TYLER, IT WASNT YOUR FAULT)SABERTOOTH IS A COMPITENT, INTELLIGENT DEVIOUS AND SICK INDIVIDUAL. THANK GOD THIS DIRECTOR IS GIVING HIM BETTER RESPECT AS FAR AS CHARACTER AND MINDSET THAN SINGER'S TAKE.BRING IT ON..

This looks awesome! Weapon X didnt take Wolverines memories, that is all cause of his healing factor itself. The Healing factor needed to cover memories in order for it to work. This was proved after the infamous words of "No more mutants"

joob234 - 2/17/2009, 11:09 AM
hey i forget, for this in the movie, are logan and sabertooth related, bloodwise i mean? or are they just good friends?
Shaman
Shaman - 2/17/2009, 11:12 AM
You know... i really really hate wrestlers BUT, for some reason, i even felt that Tyler's look was wrong for the part. But ONE wrestler does have the "look" that sabertooth should have (not that i mind Liev's take on him). HHH in Blade3 looked pretty much like what Victor SHOULD look like in the X-4 continuity if he was to ever come back. He really really sucks ass as an actor but i've seen him with the arogant smirk that Victor normally has, just add his fangs and a big furr coat and that pretty much looks accurate. NOW, if only that douche could act...

Putting that aside, this movie is really kickin ass with every trailer they put out!!! Can't wait to see it.

Joob- They aren't related. Victor's (dog) dad works for Logan's (james) dad. They just hang out.

Seriously, Shaman?
Shaman
Shaman - 2/17/2009, 11:38 AM
I know...i'm ashamed of myself!!! But looks wise, he does have it don't you think? Maybe they can give him a brain transplant with someone that is a great actor. Hmmm... Tim Roth might be up for it?!?!?! LMFAO!!!
FrankGarret
FrankGarret - 2/17/2009, 11:41 AM
I'm talking about your response to joob's question. It's been made pretty clear what their relationship is.

But yeah, he does have the arrogance.
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 2/17/2009, 11:54 AM
In the movie they are half brothers..in the comics no relation...as far as either one knows. Creed has hinted that he may be both Wolvies father or brother..but it was dismissed as mind games.
Shaman
Shaman - 2/17/2009, 12:01 PM
Sorry, i can just "see" the trailor at work, i can't actually hear it. Do they say it word for word that Dog's dad screwed Logan's mom???

It's been a long time since i read my issues of Origin. Probably why i didn't remember how much Dog's dad looked like Wolverine.
FrankGarret
FrankGarret - 2/17/2009, 12:09 PM
A male voice (might be Tom Logan) says "He wasn't your father, son."

Also, a young Dog Logan tells young Jimmy that they are brothers and need to stick by each other.
Joslezio85
Joslezio85 - 2/17/2009, 12:10 PM
from what i can tell, in the comics dog wasn't sabretooth. but in the movies, he is....
FrankGarret
FrankGarret - 2/17/2009, 12:14 PM
It is hinted at, though. I know some comics feature young Victor having his fangs pulled out by his father, but he was with Weapon X, his memory is hardly infaliable.
FrankGarret
FrankGarret - 2/17/2009, 12:17 PM
On the trailer, I rather liked it. I look forward to the war scenes. Though I'm kinda baffed that they showed Logan and Victor fighting in what I assume is the civil war.
joob234
joob234 - 2/17/2009, 12:17 PM
i like how sabertooth refers to logan by his original name: james aka jimmy
Shaman
Shaman - 2/17/2009, 12:25 PM
Cool :) Thanks dude!

Joob- Yeah they're brothers LMAO!!!

Yeah, can't wait to hear the explanations they're gonna give us for them to be in the american forces all while being canadians :) Remember the debate raging a few months ago?
JBetts97
JBetts97 - 2/17/2009, 12:32 PM
So When he had animanteum raffted to his bones his bone claws become the claws we know today. And like jean grey said 'he could easly be as old as you prefessor' AND HE IS!!!. I think it is awsome that they changed his origin story.
JBetts97
JBetts97 - 2/17/2009, 12:34 PM
Well they probubly went to fight in the union side in the civil war because some canadians thought they should help renforce the union. I don't know , thats just my opinian.
TheSoulEater
TheSoulEater - 2/17/2009, 12:39 PM
SABER TOOOTH!!!!!
Shaman
Shaman - 2/17/2009, 12:44 PM
Hey maybe, i just don't know how those things work.

And for his claws, I don't exactly know HOW they got to be so "perfectly" shaped in the adamantium form. Either he was able somehow to file them in bone format to be as they are and the adamantium just covered them. Or somehow he was able to file the adamantium to shape them even though that would be impossible. I dunno...
FrankGarret
FrankGarret - 2/17/2009, 12:45 PM
From their uniforms its clear they're with the union, but I'm not really complaining about that. The civil war could be considered a paralell to the two brothers' relationship.
Shaman
Shaman - 2/17/2009, 12:54 PM
They might have tweeked Logan's birthdate to fit in the timeline.
Scarface
Scarface - 2/17/2009, 12:57 PM
I can,t wait to see this movie
It's weird one scene looks like there in the civil war
then the next it looks more of a WWII Storming the beachs of Normandy and then in the helecopter scene it looks a little like Vietnam flying over the jungle.
I wonder if their stretching the movie out over all these wars?
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 2/17/2009, 1:14 PM
if only! id say considering the running time is under 2 hours, all of these war moments will be short glimpses and flashbacks while he is under the weapon x knife
Scarface
Scarface - 2/17/2009, 1:18 PM
That would be cool. I think its safe to assume there will be alot of flashback moments in the movie. But then again I hate assuming anything these days
loganaspatch
loganaspatch - 2/17/2009, 1:23 PM
ive been reading wolverine comics for about 8 years now and im 30 so im a bit of a noob. but i do know that he is older so i understand placing him in different wars, im not bothered by that at all... so this movie will span from pre civil war untill the early eighties? i can also assume theres going to be a period of them 2 being frozen cryogenicaly or whatever, shaman good argument i bet that stumped the writers as well maybe the union leased 2 war machines from the canadian government!

im nit pickin, but sabretooths monkey crawl/cat lunge bothers me it just looks stupid, if there not going make him look "mutated-tiger-sabre' like, then why give him the "cgi" gallop. what ever animator thought that would be cool really missfired.
MarkCassidy
MarkCassidy - 2/17/2009, 1:57 PM
I like it..Sabertooth is supposed to look and act more like an animal than Wolverine in every way..hence the claws, fangs..cat gallop! I think it looks cool..course id have to see a longer clip of it to see if it works totally
TylerDayspring
TylerDayspring - 2/17/2009, 2:16 PM

what everyone needs to do is go by the origin series that came out in 2002 its a six part series and you will know whats going on in this movie of course it not to exact detail but its close im excited im a freaking crazy wolverine fan. i have been reading the comics since 92.

Stryker: "You were sentenced to death by firing squad at ten hundred hours. How did that go?"

Logan: "It tickled."

Freakin classic:)
alten2345
alten2345 - 2/17/2009, 3:54 PM
@loganspatch

If you're talking about Logan and Sabretooth there's no need for them to be cryogenically frozen. Their healing factors make them extremely long lived.
loganaspatch
loganaspatch - 2/17/2009, 4:30 PM
yeah i know that, alten2345 i was just assuming that hollywood would put that in the movie to idk.. make the point of how he ages slower and make it more believable to lets say a 20yo female thats going to the movie just because she thinks hugh is hot. i hope they dont however.

yeah thats my point, Rorschach01 if there going to give him the cat gallop "mute" him up some, maybe his body will look different in the movie. ive seen the cat gallop in the -war(brothers)preview- and the fight with wolverine. im just going to drop it because its whiney of me lol
alten2345
alten2345 - 2/17/2009, 4:40 PM
@loganaspatch

Ahh I gotcha. I really don't think they'll make a huge deal about it. I think they'll just have like a little monologue that will explain it. I really don't see them making a big deal about it.
