Bryan Singer Drops Another Celestials Tease For X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

How much of Fox's interpretation of Apocalypse (played by Oscar Isaac) will be comic book accurate? Will the "first mutant" have ties to the Celestials? What's Fox's plan considering a Celestial has appeared in the MCU in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy?

While Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios may have mended fences, it's no secret that the relationship between Marvel and Fox remains contentious.  X-Men: Days of Future Past and Avengers: Age of Ultron proved that the two studios can reluctantly share certain characters that are not exclusively tied to Marvel's mutant race. However, Quicksilver's appearance in the MCU was ever so brief Spoilers:[and if rumors are to be believed, so is his sisters!]  (Read more about this spoiler by CLICKING HERE). However, it appears that there's another character (or race in this case) that can be shared between the two studios; the Celestials - a group of the oldest and most powerful entities in the Marvel Universe that are directly or indirectly responsible for the creation of the Eternals, Deviants, mutants, Skrulls and Inhumans.

Though Apocalypse is the first mutant, he doesn't become the neigh-unstoppable force he's most commonly depicted as until he comes across Celestial technology. Here's Bryan Singer's hint at their appearance, you decide if you think the Celestials will appear in X-Men: Apocalypse.

"The way I describe him the most, the best, is he to me is the God of the Old Testament and all that comes with that.  If there isn’t the order and the worship then I’ll open up the Earth and swallow you whole, and that was the God of the Old Testament. I started from there and when Oscar and I met we began discussing -- since he isn’t really God, he’s the first mutant perhaps, but he’s not God necessarily -- he’s imbued with certain unique powers. Some of them may or may not be from this Earth, we don’t know."

@DrDoom There's no other alien species tied to Apocalypse and his powers besides the Celestials.

Fox really should've gotten a better actor for Apocalypse.

I always thought that Celestials and Galactus should be planet-sized by default.

Then they could shrink at will to mountain-size, skyscraper-size or giant-size.

If planets are your food, then yo belly better be bigger than the moon.

The Shi'ar are a dime store version of the LSH.

They probably won't say he is anything more than a mutant. No alien technology, or have the alien technology be Shi'Ar.

Lmao that umm.... Doesn't exactly means Celestial will be in the film.

I serious donut they will since GotG already introduce them and Fox has no plans of introducing Galactus after that FF stinker.

Singer might just make up a race of aliens that gave Apocalypse his powers is more likely

The Shi'ar would be the perfect way to introduce them into the universe and also pave the way later for Phoenix. Many users said this in the earlier stages of the film's development. But I highly doubt they'll go the Celestial route. They honestly don't have to go into deep explanation of it. It can always be explained later but heavily teased here, like this...

It would be awesome to have Celestials in the Fox-men universe.
Unless they're depicted as damn clouds in space.

Okay calling bull shit how this article advertising this quote. There isn't even the slightest reference to the celestials.

Here to hoping Fox is on their path to getting their shit together and working in conjunction with Marvel Studios in near future.

Dr.Strange film has been quoted to having a film version of the "multiverse".

I hope Fox lets give up creative control to Marvel produce the future FF movies Sony's Spider-man style and incorporate into the MCU and then use and cross-over the X-men U-verse as alternate dimension in their multiverse, with Fox join some sort of creative comity Marvel Studios.

Its all about the money. They have been working together more often lately.

FOX better not mess this up if its true, though I highly doubt it is. I think apocalypse will steal mutants powers to become godlike, kinda like this guy...
