Jennifer Lawrence Would Be Open To Star In More X-MEN Movies Post-APOCALYPSE
Even though stars James McAvoy & Michael Fassbender are both expected to continue on in their roles following X-Men: Apocalypse, it's been widely rumored that Jennifer Lawrence was ready to move on from Mystique. However, based on recent comments, that may not be the case..
A few months ago, Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook) suggested that X-Men: Apocalypse would be her last go-round as Mystique. Considering her contract does come to an end following the highly anticipated Bryan Singer-directed film, it wasn't too surprising that the Academy Award-winning actress was ready to move on.
However, following a few weeks of shooting and an extremely warm reception for the X-Men cast at San Diego Comic-Con, it would seem as though Lawrence may have had a change of heart, at least to some extent. Speaking with Yahoo! Movies alongside co-stars James McAvoy (Wanted) and Michael Fassbender (Assassin's Creed), Lawrence told Yahoo!: "I told Fox not to not ask me" This led Fassbender to jokingly reply with "Because you want to have the option to turn them down?" and Lawrence responded in kind: "I kind of want to bait them with a text and then when they call me, I go, ‘Don’t call me!’ and then hang up. I don’t know — I love doing these movies."
Following this light-hearted exchange, Lawrence opened up to discuss what will actually determine whether or not she returns for future X-Men installments and based on her comments, it really seems like it'll be a gametime decision whenever Fox rings her up: "I want them to ask me, and then I’m just going to see how I feel in the moment when they ask. It might not make a lot of sense to a lot of people, but I feel like I’ll know when they ask. If I get a pit in my stomach and feel like I’m going to throw up, I’ll say no. And if I don’t, I’ll ask how much they want to pay me."
