X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Concept Art Reveals Cerebro, Ancient Egypt, The New Blackbird, And More

The latest issue of Empire Magazine features new concept art from X-Men: Apocalyspe, and you can get a first look at it right here! As well as a look at Cebrebro (is Charles Xavier finally bald?), we also get to see the Blackbird jet and a glimpse into Apocalypse's past...

The X-Men: Apocalypse concept art below is very interesting indeed, and that Blackbird looks like perhaps the best version of the iconic jet to date. We can also see that Charles Xavier is back in his wheelchair, but still has hair. Is he ever going bald?! There's also a glimpse of ancient Egypt, with confirmation from Bryan Singer that the movie will partially take place in those times. Thoughts?

As well as returning cast members James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and Ian McKellen, X-Men: Apocalypse will also introduce Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lana Condor, Oscar Isaac, Ben Hardy, Olivia Munn, and a number of others. That's one hell of a cast, eh? The movie is set to be released on May 27th, 2016.

All this is awesome. Also, can someone tell me what the big, space-ship looking thing in the first pic is supposed to be?

@MercWithMouth- I think he means that this is the first X-Men movie that feels and looks like an X-Men comic. Tons of mutants, (hopefully) colourful costumes, more sci-fi elements, Apocalypse etc. I'm super-pumped for this. My great hope is that we get some classic X-Men costumes in this, but I won't hate the movie if we don't.

Also, just to clarify, I'm a fan of the X-movies in general, but I do sympathise with some people who dislike them due to their numerous deviations from the comics. Still don't think that's a legit reason to dislike a film, but whatever.

kidna sick of Cerebro. How about some Xavier astral projection? Danger Room? No? Muir Island? Genosha? Something from the stories please.

Other things that would be more creative than more Cerebro scenes: Morlock Tunnels, Australian Outback (great 80s X-men base!), Savage Land, Avalon/Asteroid M.

@MercwithMouth

I think he's most likely talking about exploring different realms across the world in a full aspect. Days of Future Past and First class have indeed gone more globally. (Russia, Paris...etc) you even had the Wolverine that was set in Japan but from a cultural aspect I guess Apocalypse can offer the full exploitation of realms we hardly see in other comic book movies.
