Some of these are ok. But im glad they went with the design for the movie.

I kind of like the rough Nimrod inspired one.
Could use a bit more work but it doesn't look like a totally bad direction to go in.

Yeah, the future sentinels looked way more like aliens than anything "robotic". They should have kept a desing more in line with the 70's one.

The last two are the best

The last one is how the future Sentinels should've looked.

Still gotta say the Sentinels adaption doesn't make sense with Mystique's DNA thats not her power to adapt to powers of her enemy its to look like others not to change powers thats more like Darwin's or Rogue's power

The last one is solid.

Last one is the winner. The rest? Fail.

Still wish they would have taken the more classic look.

All garbage except the last one.

Yeah I figured Mystique cells allowed them to change their bodies quickly but it was not directly what gave them the power take other mutants powers.

Then again what we really see are state changes. Mystique can take on the texture and so they adapt that. Heating and Cooling could be a robot thing.

The next to last ones the best. Looks really fuccing dope. What's up with the one b4 it though? The white face looks odd as hell on a sentinel.

I favored the past sentinels more than the futuristic ones. I would've loved to see the Future sentinels say "HALT MUTANT!" They also didn't combine and they also didn't show that they can increase and decrease in size as the director stated. Perhaps those skills will be shown in a deleted scene? I was really hoping that the sentinels would combine to form Master Mold in the end too...

no because they wanted them to be able to adapt and counteract powers not just copy

I'm surprised how may people have never heard of Nimrod. It demonstrates the ignorance of the source material by users of this site. These designs would certainly be better appreciated if people could see the Nimrod inspiration.

None of us were born having already read the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Vol. I (or II). It's good to see people ask questions, this shows that people's interests are piqued. I bet quite a few people dig into X-Men lore and new fans get excited about doing some comicbook archaeology.

@dio
Yeah...Mystiques power is Shape Shifting NOT Power replication. Rogue should have been the source.

I still haven't seen it, becasue i'm so broke. Sucks. Outta all the Hero flicks latley, the one I actually went to see was Amazing Spiderman 2. I seen Cap2 as a download of computer, which wasen't that great a copy, and obviously haven't seen DOFP. Hope I can soon though.

The last concept picture looks great. Everything else looks good but it just reminds me of Gort.
