Why is he standing, he shouldn't be standing.

I'm going to assume his legs are slowly giving out on him or something. Only excuse they can have after First Class.

@Nostalgicyouth right!?! I thought this was supposed to correct the timeline! :)

The marketing on this film is pretty brilliant. The cast is tweeting other cast members covers and it's currently trending right below the Grammys. And they've just begun. Pretty sure a new trailer is dropping alongside Singer's cover.

He's walking in the trailer.......
BlackIceJoe
BlackIceJoe - 1/27/2014, 9:45 AM
I was going to say the same thing. He should be in a wheelchair. Because First Class ends with him being in it. So why the change.

When the trailer hitting?

pesmerga44 - 1/27/2014, 9:47 AM
Have they shown him at all in a wheelchair in anything maybe this is just another continuity hole Singer is over looking.
BatFleck27
BatFleck27 - 1/27/2014, 9:48 AM
This could all be the effects of Wolverine going back into the past. That once he does that things start to change like Beast looking human, Magneto holding a gun? and Lastly Xavier walking. Could all just be alternate timelines.

I came here for Quicksilver

Magneto once gave Xavier the ability to walk by implanting micro-Sentinels in his spine and manipulating them.

Just sayin'...

Also, he's clearly in a wheelchair in the first trailer. Astral projection.

He was in a wheelchair in the first still they released. I don't think he has been in a wheelchair since.

He's thinking about something.

No it's not a batch because I don't have access to a time machine yet! But we're taking 4 or 5 each time..otherwise the main page would just be jammed up with the articles. 25 covers is a lot!

LastAvenger99 - 1/27/2014, 9:51 AM
Its astral projection that's what Jennifer Lawrence said in an interview when she described a scene between their characters. He was in a wheelchair in the trailer in cerebro so yea calm down fan boys lol

All the X-MEN:DOFP Empire Covers I've seen so far all totally suck.

So I wonder how they're going to explain him walking?
Jamesx51
Jamesx51 - 1/27/2014, 9:51 AM
So many questions... Why did wolverine/xavier not know eachother in X-Men 1 as wolverine goes back to the past to help
MrCBM56
MrCBM56 - 1/27/2014, 9:51 AM
Two words... ASTRAL PROJECTION. He can and he will walk. Which explains how he and Xavier met jean at the beginning of X3, and how he was walking in X-Men origins.

God damn hippy!
Sanderman

Calm down people. The trailer even showed him in the wheelchair AND without it. Probably alternate timelines..but I guess we'll have to wait and see it to find out
CapFan79
CapFan79 - 1/27/2014, 9:52 AM
He's in the wheelchair in the trailer when he goes to cerebro. Guys, just wait to see the movie and stop the [frick]ing complaining! Prof X uses astral projection to make everyone (and the audience) believe he's walking because he's insecure about his condition. He'll grow from it in the movie I'm sure!

You all bitched just as much before First Class and most of you loved it.
CuddlyCereal
CuddlyCereal - 1/27/2014, 9:52 AM
Also I just realized, why isn't Beast in the future part of this movie?
MrCBM56

Um, in that timeline, that didn't happen yet.

I'm sure we'll get an article with all 25 soon.

Nothing about this movie looks good to me at all
CapFan79
CapFan79 - 1/27/2014, 9:55 AM
This is a different Professor X. He's not confident. His paralysis and the events of the missile crisis shattered his belief in humanity and himself. He uses his mental power to mask his handicap.
CherryBomb
CherryBomb - 1/27/2014, 9:55 AM

@CuddlyCereal You can imagine that there'd be some casualties in an apocalyptic world with mutant-hunting Sentinels. I'm sure not every X-Man will made it to the movie alive.
LastAvenger99
LastAvenger99 - 1/27/2014, 9:56 AM
My theory is having sentinels in the 1970's can explain why the danger room was able to make one in X-men 3.
Pasto
Pasto - 1/27/2014, 9:57 AM
Xavier's on that weed. I hear it gives you some strange abilities...

such as WALKING WHEN YOU ARE CRIPPLE!
MrCBM56
MrCBM56 - 1/27/2014, 9:57 AM
If a mutant that was in previous movies isn't in the future, I'm sure the logical thing to do is assume he or she is dead, wouldn't you think?
incepshawn
incepshawn - 1/27/2014, 9:59 AM
@CherryBomb @CuddyCereal I think in some of the viral marketing they explain McCoy was killed. I know BentBullet explains some of the past mutants killed but forgot where I saw it.
WruceBayne
WruceBayne - 1/27/2014, 10:01 AM
Prof X isn't really standing. He's using his abilities to reach inside your minds and make it seem like he can walk.
lntrn8
lntrn8 - 1/27/2014, 10:03 AM
nice theories all about Professor X standing . . . but you all are too generous.

How about . . . "Bryan Singer effs up the X-Continuity again after 7 movies"
