BOX OFFICE: A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD To Take The #1 Spot This Presidents Day Weekend
Despite being panned by critics (you can read my review by clicking HERE), A Good Day To Die Hard is set to take the top spot at the North American box office this holiday weekend. Hit the jump for details and all the latest figures!
Early estimates are in for the 4-day Presidents weekend in North America and it's A Good Day To Die Hard which has managed to nab the top spot at the box office following its release on Valentine's Day. However, it didn't really face an awful lot of competition as none of this weekend's new releases have been met with a particularly positive response from critics. A Good Day To Die Hard has the advantage in the respect that its the fifth instalment in a beloved franchise and features a big action star like Bruce Willis. According to Deadline, it took $8.2 million on Thursday, $7.6 million yesterday and an estimated $29.5 million for the weekend. That will give it a 5-day Holiday total of $37.3 million.
