NO TIME TO DIE Director Previews Daniel Craig's Final Chapter As James Bond In This Thrilling New Featurette

With just over a month to go, MGM has shared a stunning new behind-the-scenes featurette for their highly anticipated upcoming action sequel, No Time to Die, which will serve as Daniel Craig's fifth and final cinematic adventure as Agent 007 James Bond.

While plot details have mostly been kept under wraps, the new featurette does shed a few interesting details on what to expect, including that the film's mysterious new villain Safin (Rami Malek) will be the most dangerous adversary Bond has ever faced. It also sounds like he won't have any ties to Spectre, which is interesting to say the least, as he'll be operating with his own separate organization to take down Bond and company.

In addition to Craig (Casino Royale; Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre), the film will also return Ralph Fiennes (M), Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), Léa Seydoux (Madeleine Swann), Ben Whishaw (Q), Rory Kinnear (Tanner), Jeffrey Wright (Felix) and Christoph Waltz (Blofeld). Newcomers to the franchise will include Academy Award-winner Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody), Golden Globe-nominee Ana de Armas (Knives Out), Billy Magnussen (Game Night), Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel), Dali Benssalah (Flash) and David Dencik (Quicksand).

Cary Joji Fukunaga (Maniac; True Detective) is directing with a screenplay he wrote with contributions from Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Scott Z. Burns and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Ana de Armas is a Cuban actress, who recently broke out in Hollywood with major roles in Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049 opposite Ryan Gosling and Rian Johnson's Knives Out opposite her 007 co-star Daniel Craig and Captain America himself Chris Evans.

While Ana de Armas will sport the jewelry from the Green Carpet collection in the film, she and co-star Léa Seydoux are also expected to wear Chopard jewelry from the house at the film's red carpet world premiere next month.

Ana de Armas recently earned her first Golden Globe nomination for her role as Marta in Rian Johnson's murder mystery smash hit Knives Out. While she is not nominated for an Oscar, she is expected to be in attendance alongside her castmates this coming Sunday as the critically acclaimed film competes for the night's top honor: Best Picture.

Ana de Armas is playing Paloma, a top CIA agent who will cross paths with James Bond (Daniel Craig) in the upcoming film. The actress has previously described her character as "irresponsible" and "bubbly," but someone that will end up playing a key role in Bond's mission.

While No Time to Die is undoubtedly her biggest release of the year, Ana de Armas also has a number of other films due out this calendar year, including Saban Films' crime drama The Night Clerk (February 21), Netflix's biographical drama Sergio (April 17), Netflix's fictionalized Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde (TBD) and 20th Century Studios' psychological thriller Deep Water (November 13).

Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

No Time To Die features:
Director: Cary Joji Fukunaga

How sad, this is the Bond to get me into James Bond. Casino Royale remains my favorite bond film, and one of my favorite action movies of all time. Hope that future installments can continue the trend, because even the lesser movies in Craig's era, have elements that make them worth the watch IMO.

I have a feeling that this is going to be one of the best Bond films so far. Daniel will be giving it his all in his final turn and Cary Joji Fukunaga takes the subject matter he's working on very seriously. It's a winning combination I think.

@bobevanz -

(Not really. But I think it is a very possible chance in this one. If they want to give a proper shock, and have a start at a fresh reboot, that's an ideal way to go. It's not like the movies are strictly cannon, at least outside of any actor's tenure, but this would allow more free reign to start fresh.

this only just occurred to me... so it would seem that Cary Joji Fukunaga is of Japanese descent, but has he essentially become American now? only because, I thought one of the stupid ass rules the owners of the Bond copyright have had forever is no American director could ever do a Bond film (even part of why Spielberg never could). That it's only ever UK filmmakers.

@CaptCoulson - Martin Campbell's from New Zealand and Marc Forster is Swiss. Not American but both mainly work in Hollywood.

But yeah, Cary's the first official American
