Lots Of New Footage In International Trailer For THE LONE RANGER

In fact it's pretty much a completely new trailer to go along with yesterday's one. Check out some brand new shots -- including our first proper look at and listen to Tom Wilkinson's head villain -- in this French trailer for Gore Verbinski's The Lone Ranger

The Lone Ranger, directed by Gore Verbinski and featuring Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as John Reid, the Lone Ranger, is a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid, a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.

The Lone Ranger is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and hits theaters May 31, 2013.

@HavocPrime

Don't base his ability on being able to play Batman on this movie. Remember he is just an actor who is getting paid to act out what is in the script and do what the director tells him. It's not his fault that this is a crappy script. That being said I will see it if for no other reason I am a Lone ranger fan and as much as I want this to be good I'm afraid it won't be.

@SaxoWolf

A perfect description. What really bothers me is that the big deal they had about the budget and if it is to be believed it is in the region of $200 Million+ and it may be worst(or close to it) than the 1981 Legend of the Lone Ranger. And the fact the remake of True Grit and 3:10 to Yuma were both made for under $100 Million and were examples of how a western should be made today.

I am a Lone Ranger Fan for over 50 years and the fact that I am a fan is the reason I won't be seeing this!

I grew up watching The Lone Ranger with my parents but I never imagined it'd ever get turned into an action/adventure comedy this good. This movie looks stupid hilarious! Johnny Depp never fails to deliver the goods. Can't wait to see this.

I also grew up watching the Lone ranger reruns with my dad back in the 70's, and although this looks nothing like it, still looks like a fun flick. Doubt I'll see it in theaters, but definately checking it out when it hits the DVD/BluRay market.

Wow, and all at once the stuff that looked compelling in the US trailer suddenly looks cheezy here. This is definitely one movie that will either be saved or fail in the editing room..

THIS IS QUITE PROBABLY THE GREATEST BASTARDIZATION OF A GREAT HEROIC CHARACTER I HAVE EVVER SEEN! ANYONE FAMILIAR WITH ITS LEGACY CANNOT HELP BUT BE MIGHTILY DISAPPOINTED, AND MORE THAN A LITTLE ANGERED! JESUS!
