An apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and almost everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There's Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa, a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.

Mad Max: Fury Road will be unleashed on May 15.

Not really sure why WB wanted to go retro with all the old footage of the earlier mad max movies...that generation had their mad max and it's time this new generation will have their own new mad max...kind of strange marketing but I'll be there opening weekend.

Woah. Best one yet! I am SO into this movie. To hell with antisemitic Mel.

I'm sure Hardy will own this!

@soforizo

I think they actually made them all seem in sync with each other (well a least Max 1 and 2).

The new one definitely looks more over-the-top eye-popping insane thanks to technological advancements and CGI but it seems to have the same stark tone as the other films.

Although Thunderdome was really the lighter of the trilogy and watered-down to the point of it being a fun family friendly film (which I think neutered the franchise), this new movie seems in line with the same level of the first two films more than Thunderdome ever was.

George Miller should do a Marvel movie.
Punisher would suit him.

still not sure where this fits in the timeline of it all; the Interceptor was destroyed in the Road Warrior but they show it in the trailers for Fury Road...??? I think it was the third official trailer that showed him crawling over an Interceptor in some cave-like place and he was trying to escape. Unless there is an extra MFP Interceptor that was stolen and stored somewhere, I don't know how Max would get one because it was blown up in the Road Warrior.

@Mydogduke

Well it has to be before Thunder Dome, So maybe sometime before road warrior, or maybe that wasn't "The last of V-8 interceptors" after all. :)

Goddamn i can't wait for this movie anymore, It needs to be released already lol. Loved the original films, They really did set the bar in the action genre. And this one seems to go beyond that, Me and bro are getting IMAX tickets for day one fore sure. Make sure you see it in an OG IMAX screen, Not the digital one's that are at an AMC theater!

@MonkeyHuevos Awesome, The closest one to me is 15 Minutes away from Riverside. Edwards Ontario Palace Stadium 22 IMAX, Has the OG IMAX screen, And it looks and sounds ten times better than AMC's Digital IMAX. I saw Inception @AMC and you could easily tell the difference between the 2! Getting me and my Bro our tickets as soon as they go on sale, S**t's going down May 15th.

@nubase thanks for clearing that up, but if Miller indeed said that, he crapped on his own timeline because the Interceptor was destroyed (at least it looked so) in one of the first trailers they showed for this (he is chased through the desert and his car flips and rolls and I assume this is where they catch him?) but if the Interceptor wasn't destroyed in Fury Road, then it makes sense it can carry over to the Road Warrior. So in the MM chronology, it's MM, then Fury Road, then Road Warrior, then Beyond Thunderdome. I hope the movie sorts some of the details out

@mydogduke:It's still a mystery in fact,months ago I remember the producers consider Fury Road a Mad Max 1.5 sorta,but in fact there are also some interviews that they talk about to be the 4th Mad Max in timeline,maybe the Interceptor scene are a flashback,dunno,but the most probably is Mad Max:Fury Road is 1.5 and the possible sequel Mad Max:Furiosa a 1.6,something like that.

There better be at least a brief Cattle Dog appearance, especially if Fury Road does indeed fall between MM and RW in the timeline. If not, our girl Eva is gonna have to bite someone...
